Pretty 3 bedroom cottage sleeping 6 with lake views and onsite children's play area.

The cottage was beautiful inside and out, very spacious in every room, The only downside to us was the beds were not very comfortable, too hard (that’s our own opinion though ) Would still visit again though

We enjoyed our stay at Lakeview, my husband liked the fishing, I did find a bit rural for me as roads very narrow.

Lovely, spacious cottage, well equipped and clean with its own large terrace overlooking the garden and lake. Janine, one of the owners was very friendly and helpful. Double ensuite room is separated from the two twin rooms by the living room.The tow twin bedded rooms share a large bathroom with both bath and a large shower cubicle. The kitchen has all the usual facilities including dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer plus a separate fridge which is ideal for beer and wine. Peaceful location but only a few minutes drive from local pub and only 10 minutes from a large supermarket. 15 to 20 minutes drive from Ilfracombe and three other easide resorts. You definitely need a car though. Fishing is ideal for (supervised) youngsters with lots of small fish. Nature lovers will find many different birds: we often saw a woodpecker feeding on the large lawn area plus 2 Canada geese with 3 very young goslings and a robin was usually around looking for crumbs when we were eating outside.

Lakeside cottage is reached by a long and winding country lane. The views are beautiful and there is a lake for fishing, our friend caught quite a few fish. Its very quiet and peaceful. There is also a well equipped play area for children set a short distance from the cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and has all mod cons. The Crown Inn West Down is a 15 min walk away and offered very reasonable food. Braunton has lots of restaurants, our favourite was the French Corner Bistro. I would recommend Fliers taxi's if you don't want to drive. Very reliable. Ilfracombe tunnels worth a visit, lovey beeches at Woolacombe, Saunton and Crowd. Lynton and Lymouth is a must, very quaint and unspoilt. Great golf at Saunton Sands and Royal North Devon, West wood ho Thanks to Janine and James the owners who were very helpful, we certainly enjoyed our stay.

Easy access to North Devon coast. Lane to cottages narrow but no problem with adequate parking; although distance from car to Lake View for unloading & loading not particularly easy. The patio area and view of lake with play area in distance is excellent. Larger fridge/freezer needed in Lake View especially with a family of 6 staying for a week's self catering, but I think this may be addressed in the future? Thoroughly enjoyable, comfortable week especially with fantastic weather!
