Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Town: Porth is a small seaside village on Newquay's outskirts. The village has a shop, cafes, restaurants, and a pub on the sandy beach, and the South West Coast Path, which offers spectacular scenery, is nearby. Watergate Bay is a short walk away, with its rolling waves, surf schools, cafes, and pubs, and the popular resort of Newquay, with its beaches, watersports, pubs, restaurants, zoo, and aquarium, is well worth a visit. Fistral Beach and surf centre are three miles west of Porth, while Lusty Glaze Beach's surf training school is actually within the village.

The property was lovely, great location a few minutes walk from the beach which is beautiful. The beds were comfy and the decor and house was super. However the kitchen was not very well equipped considering the house slept 8, only one shelf in the oven, no oven gloves etc which have been mentioned in other reviews. We also found that there wasn’t much hot water and showers had to be staggered or the hot water ran out. We did contact the manager who responded that it was a heat pump and showers needed to be staggered. There is no mention of this in the house notes or the online description. So in a house for 8 people that’s not good. We all had to have double quick showers and wait an hour for the water to warm up before the next batch of showers. Saying that we had a lovely holiday and spent every night in the lovely hot tub.

We had a great week long stay at Porth Cove. Location of the property was great - fantastic views from the property out over Porth beach and some amazing sunsets. Also liked the local area - good options for food/drinks and activities within 10/15 minutes walk. Beach was great and perfect time to visit in early July as not too busy.First time visiting Cornwall but will definitely return, and would stay at Porth Cove again without any hesitation.
