Poppy's Barn at Higher Mullacott

Ideally located between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, this modern little cottage never disappoints. Cosy, clean, and comfortable on a quiet, picturesque site. This is the third time I’ve stayed here and I will be returning. Need I say more?

Great place to stay , extremely comfortable & with everything you could ever need in the kitchen. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, & the heating kept the temperature constant. Would I be happy to live there? Yes please, when can I move in!

Poppy's Barn was all that we expected. Nice and clean with quality fixtures and fittings and very comfortable.

Had a lovely stay here , cottage was lovely and it is in a good location. The scones, cream and jam were a nice treat.

We have just had the most delightful stay at Poppys Barn. My parents live in Ilfracombe, and we have stayed in many properties over the last 11 years in Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Poppys Barn was fantastic. The accommodation was extremely clean. It is beautifully furnished to a high standard, but also maintaining a comfortable and relaxed environment. The beds were comfortable, and the cream tea was a wonderful surprise. If we had to have our arms twisted about anything negative, I would only say the water pressure is low. But it just meant we spent longer in the stunning shower than we usually do

We stayed at Poppy's Barn. The cottage is lovely and the interior feels very high-quality. It had everything we needed (washing machine, pans, cafetiere, etc.). We went in November, so lots of stormy weather but the cottage was warm and cosy. You'll need a car, but if you have one there are lovely walks and beaches only 15mins away.

2nd time staying at Poppy’s Barn. My husband and I loved it as much as the first time, especially the delicious cream tea to welcome us! We will return!

This was our first stay in Poppys Barn and it won't be the last! Tina & Marc were lovely and made us feel extremely welcome but at the same time gave us 100% privacy. The barn was exceptional... beautifully clean which is always our first priority, newly renovated so everything was like new. It's an upside down design so the lounge overlooks the trees and courtyard and the special dorma opening windows were a delight !!! The bed is AMAZING!! and huge!! We slept soundly which is always nice. The bathroom had everything you needed and was very spacious ( had underfloor heating too ) Little extras that were nice ... Smart tvs in the lounge and bedroom, Tina left us a cream tea, milk, tea, coffee etc ( Thankyou Tina ) The barn had a great parking space which is always a bonus in Ilfracombe. There was a lovely outdoor space with a bbq which would be great in warmer weather. We'll definitely be returning as soon as we can!

A lovely little cottage in a pretty setting. Modern, clean and comfortable. Well equipped with thoughtful touches. Cottage is only a few minutes drive from both Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. A great base for a couple’s relaxed seaside break.

A beautiful, recently renovated bijou cottage. Perfect for my daughter, her husband and young baby. Modern but still maintaining its cosiness and the garden is a real bonus. Perfect location for visiting nearby beaches etc.

My husband and I were very impressed by the fixtures and fittings in Poppy's Barn (especially the bed!) and the lovely decor. The site is beautiful and well cared for. There is a great range of activities and equipment for families. We made use of the local bus service to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe,

The cottage was absolutely lovely. Very clean and tidy with everything you need . Great location within easy reach of lots of nice places. Issue with the shower was resolved within 15 minutes. Would definitely return
