We have made many updates for the upcoming season, new kitchen with stainless steel appliances and new cabinets. The lower lever shower has been a modern/retro feel. The upstairs shower is modern with a glass door. A pontoon boat with room for 10 and a grill on the patio. There is AC in the living area and a beautiful gas heating fireplace with touch pad controls, the bedrooms all have screened windows to let in the cool night air and two 72” ceiling fans in the great room will keep the air moving. Kayaks, paddle board are included. New carpeting and new bathroom flooring has been installed. We hope you like what we’ve done to make your stay the best it can be!

We stayed as a group for wine tasting in Traverse City area. The location was perfect. The cottage is right on beautiful Duck Lake. We were able to enjoy mornings sipping hot coffee, watching the majestic sunrise over the lake from the cozy sunroom. We spent some time on the pontoon boat exploring the lake and watching the many loons. The cottage had ample sleeping areas, everyone had their own room and bed, the beds were SO comfortable. We had plenty of room to cook meals and the kitchen was VERY well stocked, we appreciated the many spices and supplies we didn't have to buy. The evenings were spent sitting in front of the gas fireplace, drinking the wine we purchased from the vineyards. We all agreed that this was the best place we've stayed at and have already booked again for next year. Thank you again for sharing your incredible cottage with us.
My family and I had a great stay in this lake house. It was pouring our first two days, but the house was cozy and the lake views beautiful.
Very convenient that they offered a free boat. Amazing hospitality and very flexible. Clean relaxing place
Location was nice and easy to access. Boat complimenting the stay was great add on. Plenty of space and cozy. No washer/dryer so keep that in mind. Would stay again.
Had a wonderful time at this cabin. Highly recommend to other family members and friends. Look forward to booking this place in the future. Had many kitchen items for cooking. Pontoon boat was new and a great addition to our stay. Communication with owner was phenomenal.
The place was very clean- the boat and the paddle board were fun! Cottage had everything needed for a nice getaway.
Great location for a relaxing summer lake retreat for extended family. Rustic setting and beautiful lake view and access. Lots of room for group to spend time together in family room, deck, and patio, multiple sleeping rooms. Kitchen and bathrooms small but functional.
This cottage on Duck Lake was the perfect place for family to gather to relax before our daughter's graduation from IAA (located only minutes from the school) and celebrate after! Lots of great indoor and outdoor spaces at this beautiful lakeside location gave us room to eat meals and play games at times and then spread out for some solitude later. Lots of amenities and super responsive hosts made this a wonderful experience!
Had a great stay with friends!
Very fun cabin/house with superb lake views, plenty of bedrooms for the whole clan, and lots of fun lake toys including a fabulous pontoon boat! Ed was very responsive and helpful.
The cabin had everything you need for the perfect vacation. We would love to go back in the summer when we could enjoy the lake:
Cute cottage with a great porch/sunroom and deck. Tight kitchen but everything worked.
We booked this cabin last minute right before our 8 year old started 2nd grade and we are so glad we did! Everything was the way it was described and the communication back and forth was great. The cabin has a rustic/modern feel to it, which is what we like when it comes to a lake cabin! All the bedrooms are so cute and clean and they have everything you need for your stay. We absolutely loved the new pontoon boat, it was so nice and comfortable (and relaxing)! Our 5 year old enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boards early in the morning with my husband and all the kids enjoyed the sandy beach by the dock to build castles and play in it. Needless to say it was great quality time for our little family before the busy school year starts! We really enjoyed exploring Michigan too! We will definitely be back :)
After years of heading south to the beaches of the Carolinas, our family decided to try something different this year. Our lake vacation in Northern Michigan did not disappoint! The sunrises were breathtaking, the boat rides were amazing, and the lake vibe was just what our entire group needed. The host provides everything needed for a perfect getaway, and even though the temperatures for our week were unseasonably warm, we had a fabulous time!
We had a great time staying at the lake house over the weekend. Our weather was perfect and the lake was so beautiful. The house was just as we expected! It was big enough for our whole party. The fire pit was where we spent most of our time! Thanks for having us!
This place was wonderful! Everything was exactly as described and clean. Communication was excellent! We so enjoyed our time here!
Cute cabin feel home off the lake. All of our expectations were met, great size for the group of 12 that we went with. Loved the fire pit right outside with an overview of the lake.
Prior to our stay, communication with the property manager was excellent. Ed answered our questions promptly and even called the morning of to give us some information and let us know that we could arrive a couple hours early if we would like. The house was well stocked with kitchen items, sand toys, bath towels and pillows. Note that there is not a washer/dryer so plan accordingly if you will be staying more than a few nights. We also ended up needing to run out to get additional toilet paper which in hindsight. The one downside of the house was the older doors that didn’t latch well and one of which was completely off the hinges. This one issue was not enough to keep us from enjoying the house though. The lake is beautiful. The pontoon and kayaks were wonderful to explore with. The fire pit and beach area were shaded for good portions of the day which was nice to provide a break from the sun when needed. Thanks for the great stay!
