Pet-Friendly Acorn Cottage. Our cottage is our home - you'll feel at home too!

The host was responsive upon the arrival and within hours after that. The furniture was not very comfortable and the bedrooms were small and didn’t have a closet or place for clothes. The view of the lake was beautiful and we enjoyed looking out over the lake. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at Acorn Cottage! The cottage was easy to get to, and it was in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It was clean with just enough space for our family of four (our 4-legged family member included). There's a beautiful view over looking the lake from the back deck area. Hopefully, our next stay will be during warmer temps, so we can go for a swim. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels, and the kitchen had plenty of glasses, plates, and utensils to use. If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place! Thank you to our hosts for sharing this beautifully decorated cottage with us!

The Property owner was very friendly, helpful, and accessible by phone and text. Check-in and check-out were simple. The Property was unique in that it held a rustic charm with beautiful views of the lake, access to fishing and swimming, and everything you need to make your stay like home! Well-appointed with utensils, glasses, cookware, even a dishwasher. The two levels of decks were great, as was the dock and lake access for swimming. We highly recommend renting the pontoon as well, because it was very affordable and really was the icing on the cake for us! We spent hours swimming, fishing, and cruising the lake. The cottage is close to Mackinaw City, so if you need anything, it's close. Really just a nicely appointed rental in a great location on an awesome lake!

We booked the Acorn last minute to extend our vacation after a week with the full family. The charm and warmth of the cottage was instantly decompressing. It was the perfect place to relax and take excursions in the area with our son and dog. Hoping to stay longer in the future!

Fantastic stay with a great view over the lake. Small and dated but perfect for what we needed. We were a 11 min drive to Mackinac city and the ferries over to the island. When we were getting there Google maps sends you into the drive way of next door but the host was quick to answer our call and give us directions. Next door has a dog that we were told is not friendly but we had no issues other than a few barks between our dog and theirs. The neighbors yard was completely fenced in. Would definitely stay again!
