Stayed Jan 14, 2024What a stunning spot. We managed to work in with the summer weather and get time on the water every day. Plenty of fish & shellfish to enjoy eating and the views from the lounge chairs meant even when we were confined indoors it didn't feel claustrophobic. Reading Marion's book gave us extra special insights into the local area. Thank you.

Stayed Feb 6, 2021As you drive over the saddle into Clova Bay you leave the world behind. Lovely Bach with uninterrupted views overlooking the bay. Very comfortable with everything we needed. Great shower. Kitchen fully equipped. Comfortable beds. Some excellent walks around the bay and easy water access.

Stayed Jan 23, 2021My wife and son (10) loved this place. The photos don’t do the house justice - there is more space than the photos make you think. The three of us had plenty of room. We loved being 50m from the sea - I wheeled my kayak down to the water every day, and caught gurnard, kahawai, and snapper in the bay. It was about a 2km paddle to Grant Bay for blue cod. My son finally got more interested in fishing than screen time. The property was well presented and clean. It is a long trip to the nearest store, but that’s not a problem if you plan ahead with your food. There is a nice walk from the DOC campsite 6 km down the road, and all the locals are friendly and have time to chat. The highlight were the wekas that came up to the deck every day trying to steal our shoelaces. We will definitely be back.
