Stayed Dec 29, 2025Lisa was amazing and made our stay so enjoyable, especially by allowing for a later checkout! The cottage had everything we needed plus a few extras and special touches. The location was perfect for exploring the Kohala area. Highly recommend staying here!

Stayed Apr 13, 2024Like the full size gas range, fridge, and BBQ. Clothing wash and line. Roomy space in the cottage. Good location and very private. Internet is spotty. The $237 cleaning fee was a bit excessive especially since we were asked to wash laundary. 237

Stayed Mar 3, 2024Loved our little cabana high on the hill in Kohala. A short drive to many of the Big Island's best beaches, high enough to enjoy a little coolness in the evenings, and a short picturesque drive to Hawi and Waimea. The sun sets off the back porch; stunning. About an hour to the Kona scene, not undoable. Full service grocery, bank, etc in Waimea when one needs those services, about a 20-30 min drive. Diving, snorkling, gift shop, eatery, gas station with essentials, and interesting consignment shop right down in Kawai'hae Harbor, an 8 min drive. Saw many whales breaching and slapping from the shoreline as they begin their northern trek in March. Lisa and Symon were wonderful hosts, responsive and accommodating. We are not high maintenance folks, but when a couple of things popped up, both were optimized in a few hours. Highly recommend. Best little getaway for couples or a couple with a small child.

Stayed Feb 10, 2023Location of this gorgeous little cottage was perfect for us, very close to the best beaches on the island and away from the hustle and bustle of the larger centers. We loved every minute of our stay. The place was extremely clean, cozy, quiet, and had a great view of the ocean. Symon was very quick to help if we needed anythng, which was seldom as the place came equipped with all we needed i.e. fully stocked kitchen, bbq, french press coffee maker, etc... Can honestly say one of the best experiences I've had staying on the big island and have already recommended this place to family and friends.

Stayed Jan 27, 2023We would happily return to your lovely cottage. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. (even a gift of Mahi-Mahi from our host!) As Alaskans we appreciate open spaces and there was a lot of that at this location! Great view from the lanai. Thanks!

Stayed Jan 14, 2023This was not a trip we had initiated so we had to find a place in a couple of months that was not too expensive. Most places were already booked out 6-8 months. I had made a mistake in booking the days and Lisa was kind enough to book us a couple more days. The place was definitely very quiet which we liked. Other Places we have stayed in Hawaii have had coqui frogs or roosters which are not conducive to sleeping. The place was also clean and updated which was nice. The sunsets were amazing! I would suggest that a small armoire or hooks to hang clothes would be desirable. We had a few nice things to wear for dinner and no where to hang them. Besides that, nothing that we couldn't figure out. Also if you are working remote, the internet bandwidth was not very strong if we were both on the computer. The main house we heard had someone working remote as well. All in all it was a great trip! Thank you for a very nice stay, Lisa and Symon!
