Tucked away in a peaceful and secluded village setting, these five comfortably furnished holiday cottages are set in an idyllic location, only 5 miles from the spectacular Bamburgh Castle and one of the longest sandy beaches in England, and within a few minutes’ drive of Seahouses, where regular boat trips depart for the Farne Islands. Furnished to a high standard, and close to the owners’ home, Fordson offers single-storey accommodation and Ferguson is a detached two-storey cottage. The Mill House stands as a detached converted barn, with Waren View and The Granary Cottage forming an adjoining pair. This is an ideal choice for family holidays, with use of a very pleasant lawned area by a stream. There is also shared use of the owners’ hard tennis court nearby, and guests may relax in the sauna or work out in the gym, built close to the cottages.

The Granary Cottage is tastefully decorated throughout. The modern fitted kitchen/dining room is a joy to use and a great space to plan the next days adventures. The stylish living room with electric fire in stone surround and comfortable sofas is a cosy room to gather in with family. An open plan wood staircase leads from the living room to the first floor where you will find the bathroom with shower over bath. Completing the cottage are three relaxing and calmly decorated bedrooms, one double bedroom, one twin room and one single bedroom.

Warenford Village serves as an excellent base from which to discover Northumberland and the Scottish border country. Between the Cheviots and the sea, there is easy touring through the beautiful countryside with its numerous castles, stately homes, and National Trust properties. Just 4 miles distant lies Budle Bay, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the ancient walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed (15 miles) and the Duchess of Northumberland’s ornamental gardens a short drive away. Also, sure to delight both young and old alike is a visit to neighbouring Alnwick Castle, which served as the location for the Harry Potter films. Within easy reach, too, is Holy Island – renowned for its medieval religious heritage, priory and picturesque castle – and also known by its Anglo-Saxon name of Lindisfarne.

There are quiet country lanes for cycling and several excellent golf courses nearby, as well as a selection of shops in Belford (3 miles) and good inns and restaurants in which to enjoy a family meal locally – the nearest pub with restaurant being just 30 yards. Shop/24-hr garage 1 mile.

The Granary Cottage can be booked together with Fordson (MHH), Ferguson (MHI), Waren View (MKP) and The Mill House (MLX) to accommodate up to 30 guests.

Lovely and relaxing, ideal location for exploring. Beautiful walks in the door step, the coast is only 5 miles away. Pub across the road that serves amazing food. The pool is perfect. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Cottage was excellent and well equipped. Pool area was fantastic although disappointed only the early morning slot was left for the week when we went to book - not sure the system was particularly fair. The roads to Seahouses and Bamburgh are country tracks, making it a bit more difficult than we had anticipated. Excellent access to the A1, but not really anything close by. No criticism whatsoever of the accommodation, bit slightly more remote than we had hoped. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Excellent cottage with access to private pool and tennis court. It was a pity the sauna was not accessible due to Covid, but otherwise we had a wonderful holiday. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Great holiday. So relaxing. Couple of things we could gave done with in the kitchen. Pizza cutter and egg cups for the kids. Patio umbrella would be good too as sun round back of house in afternoon. Great cottage and great area. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Well equipped, very comfortable. Loved swimming pool and tennis court. Only let down by dirty floor on arrival and strong dog smell on sofas and cleaning equipment full of dog hair and smell.

The family and Ellie (the dog) enjoyed our first cottage holiday. It was perfect, being in an excellent location for short journeys to local beaches, castles and places of interest. The swimming pool, gym and tennis court kept our granddaughter busy and the White Swan restaurant was 5 star. If we could have changed anything it would have been the weather, however it certainly did not spoil our holiday. We will return and would certainly recommend the cottage.

A well equipped cottage based at an excellent location for exploring the Northumberland coastline and surrounding area. Whilst only 50yards from the A1, it was exceedingly quiet, with places to pop out for walks with the dog, as well as easy access to local beaches and towns. The swimming pool was rarely used by others, meaning it felt like a private pool and the tennis court was well kept. As we were staying a fortnight the cleaners popped in offering to change bedding and towels after the first week which was a nice touch. The kitchen was well equipped, meaning it was easy to cook for five people should you wish too, but also pubs and takeaways in nearby towns if you don't. There's lots to do for kids on the area on wet days, as well as the stunning beaches when the sun shines. We took our dog and found everywhere very welcoming, inc. pubs, cafes and many of the local tourist attractions. Couple of downsides to the accomodation; firstly it wasn't as large as the photos made it appear. The kitchen and sitting room are in one area, with a step between the two, which was disappointing. The gym is tiny, poorly lit/ventilated and equipment is old / damaged, so don't go if it's the gym you want to use. Finally it would be a squash if your planning to put a cot in the single room, you'd have to move furniture round it you actually want to step into the room! FIA y it was only when we arrived we were told we could t leave the dog alone in the accomodation and that he couldn't go upstairs, which isn't a problem, but a Stargate was have been a useful addition as with it all being new to the dog, he wanted to follow us upstairs everyone we went. However the call from the owner the day before was a lovely touch and the onsite caretaker was friendly. Overall a lovely, well located cottage, in a great location, though slightly overpriced for the size of it.
