Laguna Niguel, California
My husband and I purchased, gutted and remodeled our dream cottage and want to share it with you! Our home is about 4 miles or 8 mins from the beach. You’ll see a variety of photos I’ve taken of various breathtaking coves in Laguna Beach. More photos of the home to come. Stay tuned!
When you arrive you’re likely greeted by perfect Southern California coastal weather, a 100 yr old olive tree and our sweet white cottage.
You’ll then enter into our formal living and dining rooms both with Rocco RH crystal chandeliers. We have dreamy RH Cloud couches for your relaxation and a classic brick wood burning fire place for when it’s cooler in the winter months. Wood and fire sticks are available if you’d like to make a fire. Above the fireplace you’ll see what appears to be a piece of framed art which is also known as a Samsung Art TV- really a fantastic invention!
Our dining table is made from English reclaimed wood from RH as well as the accompanying RH Louis XVI vintage French dining chairs.
You’ll be among our collection of vintage furniture, RH furniture finds, natural marble stone throughout, Lifeproof Herringbone floors in the living and dining areas and gorgeous dark hardwood floors in the hallways and bedrooms.
Our kitchen is very much our depiction of our travels through Italia, the south of France and Paris. We have a 48in Ilve range that can fit a turkey, Carrera marble countertops, vintage copper pots hanging from a copper pot rack, a hammered copper farmhouse sink, stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and hood over the range, black and white checkered marble floors AND I’m saving the best for last — We have put in a Penguin whole-house water filtration system and an AR-Pro softener for the cleanest and purest water around!
Looking out past the kitchen and family room you’ll be showered with sunlight pouring in though the large windows, serenaded by the sound of the fountain out back and visually mesmerized by the amount of Monarch butterflies and dove visits.
An unexpected treat — Our Cactus Sanctuary garden. Please look but do not touch. PS our Wi-Fi is named Prickly and you’ll receive the PW the day of check in.
We have a gorgeous oak dining table and umbrella out back for your outdoor use and enjoyment. It sits among a back drop of wild plants growing on the hillside; a typical aspect of Southern California homes built in the early 70’s.
We do welcome families! Please note, our home is not baby/child proof and thus children should be supervised at all times. Children must absolutely not be allowed outdoors especially in the cactus area unattended.
