Florence, Oregon
This is a classic and historic 50’s cottage. It may be small but it is cozy and has a gigantic view of the ocean and beach.
This is a stand alone cottage located on the Heceta Beach in Florence, Oregon. A rustic, authentic and original beach cottage. I have added a state-of-the-art septic and a large cedar deck with massive cement pilings for stoutness and safety. There are two cedar Adirondack rocking chairs on the deck for relaxing and enjoying the ocean.
This is a little place with two separate bedrooms. The bedrooms are not large but comfortable. One is the master suite with a queen size bed and the other two extra long twin beds. Since the cottage was built in the 50’s, the original builder did not think doors were necessary on the bedrooms, and there is a full length curtain hanging there instead of a door which does work for privacy. The location is fantastic, up on a berm or large sand dune, and looks out over the beach and ocean.
The wood pellet outdoor smoker/barbecue is not in service at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience.
There are many great places of interest in the area; gorgeous scenery,
Heceta Head Lighthouse, Devil’s Churn, Old Town Florence, and Yachats.
Guest access
Only the cottage itself is accessible, the beach is public and accessible to everyone.
Other things to note
The fireplace is wood burning and you are free to use as you wish. Please bring your own wood or duraflame logs to burn in the fireplace.
As a business owner at the ocean, I feel it is my duty to protect the ocean as much as possible. Therefore, I am switching to environmentally and ocean safe products. I am currently switching to Mrs. Meyers, which has a broad repertoire of environmentally friendly cleaning products. I also have a recycling bin for as many recycling items as possible, but garbage is there as well. You will see two cans in the parking area. The recycling bin has a yellow lid. The garbage has bear and bird proof latches on the lid. Just squeeze the latch handle and it will open.
