Oakhouse - sleeps 16 guests in 5 bedrooms

We had a very enjoyable weekend with 3 generations from South Wales and North East England meeting up. Oakhouse was ideal. I hope we can do it again.

Nice house with two very large rooms downstairs and 5 en suite bedrooms. Kitchen was large enough too. The house is well proportioned for 16 guests. Everything was excellent for our stay. Hot tub was a bonus!

We recently stayed at Barnacre Cottages for my sister-in-law’s hen do, booking both The Oakhouse and Partridge Cottage. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic! First off, a huge shoutout to Beth who helped me with the booking. She was unbelievably helpful and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and her friendly approach made the whole planning process a breeze. AMAZING customer service!!! The cottages themselves were simply stunning. The pictures online don’t even come close to doing the place justice. Both The Oakhouse and Partridge Cottage were spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The facilities were top-notch, and every room in the Oakhouse had their own on suite which was great. What really stood out was the spaciousness and layout of the cottages. The social areas were ideal for a large group like ours, with plenty of room for everyone to gather, eat, laugh, and celebrate. We had such a great time that we’re already planning to book again for some special birthdays next year. We can’t wait to return!

We booked this house for my friends hen party & birthday celebrations and it was absolutely perfect! Plenty of space for 14 of us to relax, dance, and dine. The conservatory is absolutely gorgeous and we will definitely visit again in summer to enjoy the outside space!

My friends and I had an incredible weekend at Oakhouse - the location was perfect for everyone coming from all over the country and the space was amazing. Beth and Kendall were both very helpful and on hand if we needed anything, but equally left us to our own devices. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could need and the living and outside space were perfect for us to be together. I’d 100% recommend this house and would absolutely book again!

We had a large family gathering to attend a wedding in the area. The house easily accommodates the 16 and with two very large lounges and a massive kitchen, you never feel cramped or fail to find a quite space if you need it. Will definitely use again, seamless booking, checkin and out, great experience and highly recommend.

We were 3 generations of extended family from 4 countries staying in 3 of the houses. The indoor and outdoor space, including the tennis court, is excellent, the kitchen very well equipped, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms/showers really good. A couple of points to mention, the Aga is on all the time and the kitchen was uncomfortably hot, despite it not being a very warm week. The upstairs rooms are also very warm and because of the low windows, it is difficult to open them if you have small children. Other than that we had a great week and even enjoyed a few evenings sitting round the firepit. There is a lot to do in the area, provided you have a car, and some lovely local walks.
