The perfect place! Clean, fully stocked with everything you could need. Right on the water, beautiful views. Loved every minute of our stay!

What a great place to stay! The hosts were very attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We were able to take full advantage of all of the amenities, and even caught a few fish of of the dock. The kids enjoyed visiting the nearby Civil War sites as well. We would definitely stay here again.

We love it here. Very quiet location. I’ve stayed at a lot of places and this one is the best. The home is beautiful and has everything you need. Throwing distance from the lake and fishing is awesome. The hosts are fantastic.

Felt like home as soon as we walked in. Everything was clean and decorated very cute. We very much took advantage of the fishing, peddle boat and kayaks. Overall we had a great trip! Would definitely stay here again.

This cottage was so beautiful, peaceful and serene. From the way it was decorated on the inside, which included a sweet note and gift of bread, to the stunning water and sunset views on the outside. The host and everyone we met here were so kind and helpful. A relaxing vacation in nature by the water, filled with a community of wonderful people. We hope to return soon!!!

What a fantastic 26 year anniversary trip. The lake house was absolutely lovely and so close to the lake and boat ramp. We didn't want for anything the whole trip. The hosts are so sweet leaving us an anniversary card and fresh baked bread. Check in and out was super easy and the entire experience was peaceful and relaxing which was exactly what we were looking for. We're already discussing coming back next year! Thank you Vince and Pat for allowing us to enjoy your lakeside retreat!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this super cute and comfy Lakeside Cottage. We relaxed on floats in the lake and rented a boat one day. We made almost every meal at the cottage and were very pleased by the well-appointed kitchen. We also rented a golf cart one day.

YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!! We had a great stay. Vince and his wife are very accommodating. The property is amazimg and the view.... Loved watching all the boats on the river. The wildlife like deer, turkey, eagles and more are abundant. We got to sit on the deck and watch 3 baby deer in the morning with my coffee. The golf cart is a must. To get back and forth from the beach with all your stuff. Swimming is not permitted directly behind the house because of the boat ramp. The beach is literally right next to the house. The house is nice, clean and had everything we needed. The main bedroom is nice and the bed is very firm. The other 2 bedroom are on the other side of the house so its private. Living and dining room areas are spacious. My only suggestion is to put curtains or shades on the french door windows to the main bedroom. The frosted glass lets in alot of light. Over all this lake house is a must rent again and again.

It was a great week. Saw bald eagles, deer, a heron even fishing by the shore at night. Lots of barges went by and a cruise ship. Cooked all our meals there and kitchen is well equipped. Whole house is well equipped. They have thought of everything and they were great with communication and genuine interest in you having a pleasant stay.

I was looking for quiet and relaxing. This was the perfect place. There is a beautiful view and the sounds of the water are wonderful to listen to over a cup of coffee on the deck.

Great location on the Lake. Plenty to do in the area. Our family had a wonderful vacation. The property is ideal and very clean and has plenty of room.

We wanted a relaxing place for my daughter's 20th birthday. This was perfect. The communication with the owners before and during our stay was great. They answered all my questions before our trip quickly and were very helpful during our trip. We had a fresh loaf of banana bread and sweet note to greet us. There were 7 of us traveling including my three year old twin granddaughters. The house had everything we needed from books to games even the rainy days were enjoyable. The views of the lake were beautiful from the kitchen table and back deck. The sunsets were awesome. The whole family loved fishing and the fire pit. We also went to the woodlands nature station and the elk and bison prairie near by. We would love to come back when it is warmer to enjoy the paddle boat and kayaks. This house has everything for a great family getaway.

My husband and I enjoyed a weeklong getaway at the Lakeside cottage. The home was perfect. The hosts were outstanding! And the views were amazing. We enjoyed our morning coffee by the lake. Felt adventurous kayaking up and down the river. Enjoyed our daily walks up and down the shoreline. We saw so many bald eagles. And it was neat to see barges so close. And the sunsets were stunning! To top it all off, the hosts were excellent and made us feel so welcome. They were kind, generous, and so helpful. They were quick to respond to any questions I had. The banana bread to welcome us to the cottage was so appreciated. (And so good) We enjoyed meeting them and seeing them throughout our stay. I highly recommend this cottage. And we hope to return soon.

I’m a little late in posting a review, but I certainly wanted to make sure I did so!! What a wonderful, relaxing week my husband and I had at Lakeside Cottage!! The area is so beautiful, and peaceful! I am a HUGE clean freak and am very picky. I’m that person that rents a vacation home and cleans it once arriving. Not kidding. But immediately walking in and exploring this rental I noticed immediately that that was not necessary. So refreshing and made it feel so homey! We spent mornings and evenings on the deck that overlooks beautiful Kentucky Lake, explored the surrounding area, kayaked, walked on the beach and saw beautiful sunsets! We can’t thank Vince and Pat enough for the hospitality and care they’ve put into this place! We WILL be back!!

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to celebrate our 44th anniversary. And we found Lakeside Cottage. This cottage was everything we were looking for in comfort, coziness and relaxation. The inside was decorated so nice and warm. Everything listed on amenities was available, everything you can think of. Activities also available. This made for non-stressful packing and less worry. And then there is the lake view...WOW. So wonderful to eat meals or just relax on the deck and admire the lake view and its sunsets. Vince and Pat are so kind and gracious. They go above and beyond to make your stay delightful and enjoyable. From the fresh baked bread to encouraging a call for anything needed. They even texted us a happy anniversary...how cool. I highly recommend this little piece of paradise to others! Hope to make a trip back someday.

The hosts are amazing! Made sure to get us info before visit about house/location, answered all questions we had in timely matter, and even made sure to let us know they were around if needed anything. Great location to for us and 4 kids to relax on the lake shore, fish, kayak, pedal boat and just enjoy time away from our normal day to day. House was very clean and had everything we needed and more! Just ourselves, food, sunscreen and bug spray was all we needed to have a super time.

Our family enjoyed our time at this property. The kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing, camp fire, and relaxing by the lake.

We enjoyed boating, swimming, hiking and spending time by the fire pit at night. We couldn’t have asked for a better time at the Lakeside Cottage. The banana bread from Vince and Pat was delicious and a nice surprise.
