Stayed May 6, 2024From the moment we walked into the house we were very pleased with how spotless it was. The furnishings and decor were very inviting and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked dinner every night. We also grilled on the charcoal bbq one evening. We loved spending each morning on the deck with a cup of coffee and late afternoons after a day on the river relaxing on the chairs on the private dock. We really enjoyed canoeing and a fishing the river every day and just taking in the natural sights and sounds of nature that surrounds the Santa Fe. Such a great experience all around !

Stayed Mar 14, 2024Enjoyed our time at The River House. Accurate listing. A little hard to find. Look for the neighbors white mailbox then just past that on a tree you’ll see the number posted. When the leaves are down the driveway can be hard to spot. We played corn hole, grilled and enjoyed the porch and dock. We went to Ichetucknee and Gilchrist Blue springs. Best to hit the grocery in town for breakfast stuff-we found it a bit hard as some places, most were closed (might’ve been just out of season). But we enjoyed Blue Star Dinner, The Great Outdoors and a little bakery inside an old house right around the corner from Blue Star-wish I had the name, really good cinnamon rolls!

Stayed Apr 26, 2023The property was well-situated to rivers and nature. We thoroughly enjoyed being by the river and the hammock. Only wished our stay was longer. The hosts were accommodating and very pleasant.

Stayed Mar 12, 2023Clean, quiet, relaxing, and the Santa Fe River is beautiful! Great location that is convenient to so many springs, but you can also just relax by the river and enjoy your stay! Super responsive owner, we will definitely be booking more getaways here!

Stayed Jul 19, 2022My kids and I wanted to experience a bit more about the wonders of our state. My youngest fell I love with idea of Ginnie springs from tik tok and therefore, I booked this lovely 3 bedroom home. It was a bit hard to find, but once there,it was exactly what we were looking for! It feels secluded with all of the massive trees. Once up the stairs, there are chairs that overlook the property and the river. The interior of the home was extremely clean and it was a comfortable space. Bedrooms were nice size, although one is much smaller than the other two. The mattresses were better than mine at home and we all slept well. The kitchen has basic equipment, but the owners left us snacks and water. It is a 20 minute drive to downtown, but definitely worth it, as the outdoor restuarant was superb! Ginnie springs is about a 15 minute drive and was a huge hit with both of my kids-not an easy task. I would recommend the River House as long as everyone in your party can navigate stairs.

Stayed Jun 14, 2022Pictures are accurate. Quiet, deer, turkey and a hoot owl visited during our stay. Pulled out kayaks riverside, cleaned them on the rack after launching at Rum 138 County park. Simple, clean accomodations with a good AC.

Stayed May 14, 2022We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The serenity of the property is amazing. Birds and tree frogs will entertains you with their music. The space on the porch and dock were used non-stop during our stay. Biking and running right out the back door. We travelled to 14 springs in 3 days and canoed several rivers. The experience of the springs is like heaven on earth. This cabin was within 15 minutes of most of our activities. Two 45 minute trips to Payne’s Prarie and Wes Skiles park were the longest travel but both worth the drive. The owner is very responsive to requests/messaging. Less than 5 minutes for a response when messaged.
