Mulberry Tree Cottage
This is the original Kohilis family house and is over one hundred years old (built in 1905). It is an old stone country house, which has been recently restored, to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation.
It has large terrace with mulberry trees and pergola to give shade, and wooden benches and table for outdoor dining. To one side is a stone built barbecue, and sink. A swimming pool is located below and close to the cottage with further gardens.
The house is two storied.
The main door leads into the ground floor living room which has traditional fireplace.
A few steps lead you to the kitchen which has exposed wooden beams and is fully equipped.
A side doors opens out onto the outdoor kitchen area.
To the side of the kitchen is the bathroom which has bath/shower, WC and marble-topped sink.
An inside wooden staircase leads to the lovely air-conditioned master bedroom where there is a Skopelitian platform bed and a fireplace.

It is full of character with elegant interior decors, entirely suited to the gloriously peaceful rural setting. They are set on the hillside overlooking the Potami valley, on land that has been in the Kohilis family for over 100 years. The Potami area is a part of the island rich in water with plentiful springs, and as a result covered with plain trees and orchards. The whole area provides many wonderful walks, with paths leading through the mountains, past picturesque chapels and other cottages, on down to the coast. By crossing through a wooden bridge, you are entering to the property, of 15 acres, which is covered with olive, plum, walnut, cherry, chestnut and almond trees, and a paved road leads you to the cottages.
The location is the most beautiful in the middle of the island, in a green enviroment with many springs around. All cottages are surrounded by many trees and plants, the pool and sunbathing area, composing a very secluded and peaceful place. The perfect escape. A beautiful place in a green environment, romantic get away.

If you are looking for total peace and quiet, surrounded by fruit trees and rich woodlands, with a small pool to cool off in, and a large terrace with outdoor kitchen, look no further.

This place is every bit as beautiful as the photos show. Totally secluded. So relaxing to sit outside - always somewhere comfortable in the shade or the sun to read and watch the lizards! Pipitsa was the perfect host: responsive, helpful, friendly, welcoming... arranged car hire for us, left us a bottle of wine, met us off the ferry, advised us on boat rental, provided mosquito repellent - what more could you ask for? Cooking in the outside kitchen was really good fun and taking a midnight dip in the pool to watch the stars (and bats) was wonderful. The whole property struck the perfect balance between simple, stylish and comfortable. I wouldn't have changed a thing (apart from maybe one or two more windows protected by mosquito nets). Would highly recommend. Thank you, Pipitsa!

We are just sat by the beautiful pool on our last day at Mulberry Tree Cottage and I couldn't wait to the leave a review. We have had a wonderful week of peace and quiet in this beautiful cottage. The view is spectacular and the cottage and gardens are perfect for a restful trip. Mulberry Tree is the perfect distance from the main town of Skopelos and the beautiful beaches on the island (our favourites are Kastani and Agnondas). The lovely owners arranged car hire for us along with a travel cot for our 1 year old and a car seat. The owners have been so welcoming from the moment I first messaged, to meeting us from the boat and the whole way through our holiday. The pool, BBQ and seating area are so private and relaxing and the cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We would highly recommend Skopelos and especially Mulberry Tree Cottage. Thank you for making our first family holiday so special. Anna, Nick and Willow xx

We spent a blissful ten days at Mulberry Tree and couldn't have been happier. The setting, the views, the weather, the privacy, the friendly welcome and the beautiful island of Skopelos, well we just fell in love with the place all over again. Yes it's rural and rustic, don't expect the Ritz, but it has it's own magic and we loved it. The cottage is basic and traditional, but clean and welcoming and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bedroom is spacious with an amazing wooden vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, and has a triple aspect if you count the door to the outside steps. Stunning views in all directions. The bed on a stage is so comfortable and the bedding soft as silk. We slept really well and woke to the most amazing birdsong. The kitchen is quaint and clean and has more than we needed for our stay. We tended to eat out most of the time as there is so much choice and variety from beachside tavernas to rooftop restaurants, and it needn't be expensive if you're careful. We went in the pool every day, it's small but enough to put in some lengths if you're keeping fit. The bath with handheld shower could do with updating, but it's more than adequate, hot water plentiful, and the towels are fab. There is plenty of room on the large sink surround for storing toiletry bags and toiletries. Gianni and Pipitsa the owners are wonderful and their thoughtful surprises of breakfast hot pies and home made cherry sauce to take home were so lovely. We'd love to go back there, it's a very special place, and we're totally smitten with the Island. With the two neighbouring cottages a short walk away, but not too close ( you can barely see them) it would be a great place for a group of friends or family to go, where couples prefer some privacy but could all gather together at times. I wouldn't recommend it for families with young children because of the steep walls and open sided pool, but for couples wanting a beautiful and secluded romantic hideaway it's perfect. We had a wonderful week at Mulberry Tree. This is a well built barn/farmhouse conversion. Very comfortable and well equipped. Immaculately clean. With almost wrap around terraces you can follow the sun or the shade all day. The outside furniture is of excellent quality and the pool just divine. (It is generally very difficult to find a private pool in a property for 2) The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is situated in a very peaceful location. It is only a short drive to Skopelos town, Panormos Beach and all the other resorts. Car essential. Would definitely recommend this property to couples looking for a relaxing break. And to the nitwits who cancelled because of the drop in sterling at the time of Brexit - you don't know what you missed.

We had a lovely fortnight staying in Mulberry Tree Cottage. A very peaceful location with views across a valley. We were met by Pipitsa and Iannis the owners at Agnontas with the hire car they had kindly arranged for us. We found the owners very helpful. The house is tastefully furnished and we found it well equipped. We had a restful holiday enjoying the pool and pretty patio areas and we would certainly go back.

I have a pleasure to write a review of our stay at Mulberry Tree cottage in August, 2014. We spent two happy weeks in this peaceful and comfortable place so advantageously located. We had a great chance to meet this lovely couple, Pipitsa and Janis, who had arranged their house with great taste and care. It could be an ideal place for a family with children, as it was in our case, for romantic couples, and for all other combinations of people who appreciate nature, calm and beauty of untouched environment away from mass tourism, but not far from the advantages of the civilization . As the three cottages are quite close to each other (but you don't even see your neighbours!), it could be a great place to come with friends or parents and enjoy their society without abandoning your autonomy. We will be happy to come to this charming harbour of peace again and highly recommend it to everyone who shares our love for peaceful but active holidays.

From my first email to enquire about availability Pipitsa and her husband Iannis were charming; courteous and helpful. By the time they met us at the Port of Skopelos we felt we already knew them. They drove us to collect our hire car and then led us to their beautiful property in the hills where they showed us around with justifiable pride. The property is accurately described on the web site. It is a short drive to local amenities; restaurants and beaches but then nothing is far away on this delightful little Greek island. The cottage was very clean with the bed made up for us; the kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor facilities are excellent with plenty of shade at all times and a private plunge pool. True to word, the towels were changed mid week and we were presented with a local delicacy as a gift when the owners came to say 'Goodbye.' I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing 'away from it all' holiday. We loved it.
