Mountain View Cottage in Asheville, NC

It was so welcoming and the beautiful wildlife we were able to see, bear, turkey, deer. Heard a few coyotes. Would definitely be back.

Great location up in the hills with pretty morning views. Cottage was very spacious, clean and comfortable for our family of 4 plus our dog. Loved seeing all the bears! Fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

The property was clean and very cute. View was beautiful and it was quiet. The neighbors feed the bears and although it was cute to watch, I had a concern about letting my dog out. I walked her when the bear was not hanging out. Also kitchen could use some pot holders. I would come back again for sure!

The view from the cottage was like looking at someone’s junk yard.

This property is very nice! It was perfect for a little weekend getaway for me and my girls on my bachelorette trip! The only complaints or suggestions I have would be to change out the bed in one of the bedrooms because it does squeak anytime someone moves and to also be careful pulling into the drive if you have a low car because it’s a very deep dip to go down the driveway. But overall, it was nice!

The cottage was as promised, about 2 miles from downtown, so easy access to all the amenities, but quiet and serene. WE SAW BEARS! Loved the roving wild turkeys. Internet was fast and all needed amenities were present. Very pleasant mini-vacation.

The property is welcome for pets. The kitchen had minimal items to cook with but we made it work.

Very quiet and cozy perfect for a getaway while being close enough to drive into Asheville (10-15min) and enjoy everything the area has to offer!

Very uncomfortable recliner and couch. I have stayed here before but it has no where to sit and relax.

Friendly host with excellent communication. Nicely appointed, comfortable house with a beautiful view of the mountain sunsets. Great value for a pet-friendly home. They even provide pet throw blankets! We were greeted by a flock of wild turkeys! Easy access to downtown Asheville.

Very easy to check in. All amenities as listed were provided; house was very clean upon arrival. Great location and place to stay.

Perfection. Super-clean. Windows and natural light in abundance. This home had all of the creature comforts you could wish for. I have travelled extensively and this by far is the best rental experience I have ever had. The view is from the kitchen and living room and one of the bedrooms. Washing machine and dryer available. Salt and pepper and a good supply of coffee pods. I would live in this home if I could. My son lives in the area and he wishes he could buy it and move it to his mountain property! Surprisingly close to downtown Asheville. It felt like going home and we were both very sad to leave. The porch is very inviting also. It was too cold for us to enjoy it but I will definitely stay here again and enjoy my coffee watching the sunrise!

The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, and was as described. Very close to downtown Asheville and the owner provided excellent directions.

This was the cutest little house! It even came with a mamma bear and cubs! This house was everything that we needed, cozy and welcoming. Also has amazing Mountaintop views!

Clean home welcoming to pets a couple of throws left for them. The host was easy to contact.Close to Asheville yet charm of countryside. Saw a mother and her two cubs passing. Try to get jn before dark there is a loop you need to follow and pass a trailer and garage before looking up to right for cottage.once in all was fine.we git a flat hostess send help with air compressor. Marjorie couldnt be nicer and patient with us.

Loved seeing the bear and her 4 cubs- what a treat!! It was a little tricky finding the cottage at first, but just continued up the hill and parked by the tree.

We enjoyed our stay at your cottage. Very quiet, disappointed we didn't see bears but maybe next time.My only suggestion would be to bleach all your white towels, they were clean, but bleaching would be really good since they are pretty old. Carol

The house itself was very nice, & recently remodeled. The issue was the water pressure, there is none. Also, the property didn’t offer a hair dryer so we had to go purchase one. I have never stayed anywhere that didn’t have a hair dryer. I would never stay at property again based on the water pressure alone.

Close to many attractions

Great views and peaceful neighborhood but close to everything

The cottage was nice on the inside, but the recliner was broke. There was a used coffee pod left in the Keurig with three Folgers coffee pods to be used during the stay. The biggest complaint was there was no water pressure if you flush the toilet while you were in the shower the water pressure went away to a trickle and did not come back so you could finish bathing when the owner was contacted she said that the cottage was an older house and had bad water pressure. On the plus side we did see turkeys rabbits and a bear outside the house.

Marjorie was fantastic! She was nearby and came to the cottage to help me with the TV. It was very kind. The place was very cozy and well equipped.

This was a cute, simple place for us to stay a couple of days. Location is close enough to Biltmore house and Asheville’s downtown. We enjoyed the quiet spot on the hill.

The property was quiet and peaceful. It was very convenient to all the areas of Asheville. Wild turkeys, bunnies and a bear were all seen on the property.

The property was as shown on line. Everything was clean and all the essentials were provided in the kitchen. Lovely views. Very relaxing. The water pressure in the bathroom could be better.

The house was just fine and seeing the wildlife certainly made up for the unusual driveway through the junkyard. My only complaint was the lack of water pressure in the shower. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves.

Great location to literally anything, host is super responsive and makes sure you're taken care of. The place itself was great in all aspects as well. Already planning our return trip.

This was a quaint cute property. Only issue was the Kuerig looked like it hadn’t been cleaned

The. Cottage is quiet and cozy with great views! We needed A great deal for our family budget. It was that amd more. We recommend staying here.

We had a cozy, lovely stay. Host was helpful and available and gave us lots of privacy. Kitchen had everything we needed and we were close to town. We slept well. Plan to be back next time we're in town. Pizza delivery person struggled to find us after dark, so call early.

Very nice cottage.

Unfortunately, Western North Carolina was rocked by Hurricane Helene. We booked our cottage, several weeks prior to Helene. The owner responded to our questions and concerns quickly. The owner sent us directions to the cottage that are spot on. The cottage described was accurate. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable. As many others said, it’s a little tricky to find the first time—use the directions sent along from host along with gps in the daylight. But the inside is clean and comfortable. It wasn’t quite warm enough to enjoy the deck table/chairs, but we did see a family of bears in the neighbors yard!

Cozy and very nicely decorated cottage. Very clean. Road is a bit challenging but once your learn it, it’s easy.

Beautiful view and so peaceful. All I could hear were birds chirping and an occasional car. My dog Henry and I enjoyed sitting on the porch. I have no complaints about the cottage. It suited my needs perfectly. Pretty much everything is provided except napkins and Kleenex. We enjoyed watching the bears (from a distance) including a mama bear and her 5 cubs!

We had a lovely visit! Marjorie’s daughter came to meet us in person and welcome us to the cottage. It was very clean, and just like the pictures. We saw a few curious bears during our stay, too! Thank you!

Good stay Bears and turkeys close to cabin

Stayed two nights while in town for wedding. The property was located close to everything, it was clean, and we felt safe. It was the perfect size for 2 people or small family. We saw mama bear and her 3 babies which made our trip! Would definitely book again if I’m the area.
