Stayed Dec 6, 2023Moonrise Cottage is a perfect place to escape every day stress and chaos. The remote location is very quiet and worth the effort. Cottage itself has a an eclectic decorating style. It’s got everything you need. Heidi is a wonderful host. I had lots of questions about directions etc. to get there and she was very prompt in answering and very clear on how to get there. My wife and I plan to return to this oasis.

Stayed Nov 19, 2023My husband and 2 boys (5 and 3 years old) wanted to celebrate a birthday and Thanksgiving differently this year. We found this place and the pictures do not do justice for the charm and beauty. It is just so peaceful and gorgeous out there. The trip didn’t go as planned and we had a scare on night 1. Heidi and Tim treated us like family and took such care of me and my kids. I’ll spare the details but just know the hosts are as good as they get and this place is so memorable and we can’t wait to go back. You won’t regret booking this home. Just outstanding all around.

Stayed Jul 13, 2023My husband, three-year-old son, and I all stayed at the Moonrise Cottage for one night. It was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of San Diego. The cottage itself was so idyllic and the surrounding property provided a lot of entertainment for my little one. I got a chance to enjoy the outdoor bath that overlooks the canyon, which was a magical experience. Heidi the property owner made us feel very welcome, providing us with information on local restaurants and allowing us to check in early. Overall this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away. Next time I might leave the kid at home because the cottage is very romantic!
