The Hawaiian Islands have some of the most remote tropical rainforests in the world. Nevertheless, like any moist and fertile environment, you may find some ants, mosquitoes, roaches and critters like little geckos that share this beautiful world with humans. To keep out bugs, remember to close the doors right after entering. Don't leave food or crumbs on counters or tables and avoid eating at the bed because ants are really smart and fast.
**Security cameras: Ring doorbell on the front lanai leading to the house. Back house garage has two. Back house has one pointed to the back lanai, two more in front of back house pointing towards backyard. One right off back door pointing at beach and yard. One off front lanai showing side house

This is a nice property and is just across the street from the Polynesian Cultural Center. It is comfortable and well laid out. We enjoyed the view from the back yard but could not enjoy the beach. In November the wind and waves are just too fierce and the waves break right at the back side of the beach close to the house. We were sent the wrong access code for the house and could not get in when we arrived. After speaking to half a dozen voice mails, and several hours later we finally received a call from someone who gave us the correct access code. For the record, we did speak to a VRBO representative who was helpful but did not have the correct access code. And, the property owner's phone number went right to voice mail - he never did call us. To add further insult, there are roaches in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. We know these can be a problem here but roaches don't make good house guests. The sprinklers are set to turn on in the late afternoon when you might be inclined to be outside enjoying a beverage. One of the sprinkler heads is completely broken and gushes water. Wait, not done yet. The outdoor furniture is super sad. It should be replaced with something nicer, even if a caretaker had to move it indoors when the house is not in use. The televisions are nice but come with five remotes and no instructions. We found we were unable to use them at all. The security lights outdoors are on sensors and go on and off all night. We would stay here again.
This is a beautiful house directly on the water as described. It is located directly across from the Polynesian Cultural center and about 35 minutes from Haleiwa with several great restaurants. We would stay here again when visiting Oahu.
House was very beautiful. Great scenery. No air conditioning but the ocean breeze kept the house cool and comfortable. Microwave did not work but manager brought a new one with in the hour of reporting. The oven did not work manager said it was on the list to be fixed. Over all we had a great stay. Would stay at this home again.
We booked this place for a family reunion. Our son is in the Navy & stationed on the island. We had not been together as a family for two years. We had a wonderful time, this place is awesome, you can't beat the location. This side of the island is very quiet & peaceful, just what we were looking for.
It is all about the location and this place is in the best place. Close to the beach, PCC & LDS Temple.
Beautiful home, beautiful location. We arrived late in the evening after a very ling day of travel to find our house occupied. The people that were supposed to be in another house had been staying here for 3 nights! They had the SAME CODE for all houses. We showed up and had to wait for the others to leave, a caretaker came to change bedding etc. House wasn't cleaned prior since someone had been in there, garbages full and they didn't change our code until I called the next day. The caretaker told me the other people were good people. Pretty sure Jeffrey Dahmer was described as nice also. They apologized but offered no solution or discount. The man who was staying in our house actually walked out and said bed is broke in. Thats comforting. He turned out to be a nice guy but absolutely not the experience we wanted after the amount of money we paid and a long day of travel. Had that not have happened, higher stars for the house for sure. Cleanliness, check in process and dealing with management was not 5 star worthy.
We LOVED our stay! Right next to the beach which was great for kids and adults alike. Close to most everything on the north shore. The listing states sleeps 7, but know that the 7th spot is couch cushions. When we asked about this, the caretaker brought us an air mattress for one of the kids. He was very attentive and helpful. Overall, great place!
We just came home after 8 days - 6 adults and 1x 3year old. The house is great. Three spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Sorry, we did not cook as the food trucks across the street @ PCC took care of us. We watched honu from the dining room table. The beach was incredible. Falling asleep to the waves was so calming. The home is not air conditioned but we didn't miss the a.c. Would I stay here again - in a heart beat!
First time on Oahu. What a wonderful experience. Loved staying on this side of the island. We could drive to Honolulu to go to Pearl Harbor, the Bishop Meseum, etc. We had a beach right outside our backyard and you're right across the street from the Polynesian Cultural Center (such a great learning experience and fun!). I'm sure we'll be back!
The place is just like the pictures. Very clean and well appointed. Great views of the ocean and easy beach access. For the most part we had the beach to ourselves. Very quiet.
Family of 6, all adults, three couples, stayed here. Floor plan excellent for privacy so all we’re very comfortable. Loved the big open kitchen, living room where all could come together. Tv in all bedrooms and living room, but who wants to watch tv on vacation? Ha. My favorite was hearing the pounding of the ocean waves in the living room and bedrooms with windows open…made you feel the ocean! Could prob shut windows if hearing is not your thing. Clean, on beach, private, quiet away from busyness. We loved the North Shore activities, and were close to all including grocery, and restaurants. Would love to stay here again sometime.
This fantastic home is just a few steps from a beautiful beach and gorgeous sea, and you will sleep wonderfully with the sounds of crashing waves! Our family didn’t want to leave. Great location and the house is beautiful. Very responsive and helpful hosts! Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
What a great time we all had ! This home is beautiful , the people we met were very nice. The beach was perfect. We will be coming to this home again and again.
Terrific home & amazing location. My family loved it!
This place is incredible. One of the best properties I have ever stayed at. Directly on the beach, you can hear the sounds of the waves non stop. All appliances are updated and house was so clean. There are a lot of good trucks near by and also a food land grocery store. I don’t know what else to say except incredible. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a relaxing getaway in the country side of Oahu.
The location - right on the beach - was ideal.
I am not a person to leave reviews, but this house is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. My family and I stayed here for a week and we were not disappointed. Beautiful views of the ocean right outside your backyard. We were able to walk the beach every morning and relax and enjoy the views in the evening. If your looking to stay on the North Shore this is the place! We will definitely be back.
Of all the places I’ve stayed on Oahu this was probably my favorite! We especially enjoyed waking up early each morning to watch the sunrise from the beach which we really had all to ourselves our entire stay, we only saw maybe 2 other people passing by the entire time! The house was as described in the listing and comfortable for all guests. The only thing I would suggest is changing the settings on the security lights as they are so sensitive they pick up the waves and come on every couple of minutes. It would have been much nicer to have the darkness of the beach in the evenings and before sunrise and the darkness while sleeping but overall just a gorgeous stay that we will not soon forget! Thank you!!
Everything went very smooth and support staff is very helpful and responsive. Great location, beach access is perfect, high quality fixtures, new appliances. Great experience.
