Stayed Jan 1, 1Mt husband and I were very pleased with the cottage we stayed in for 3 nights. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The owners and staff were extremely helping and informative. We would have no problem recommending the cottage to others.

Stayed Jan 1, 1After reading reviews, we had high hopes for our 4 weeks at Heath Farm. The Barbour family, the beauty of the farm, and the thoughtfully designed cottage exceeded our expectations! The courtyard area is relaxing and peaceful. The gardens are lovely. Beechnut is well-appointed and laid out so that spending a month there was thoroughly enjoyable. The farm is inspirational in how they are using and caring for the land. The games room and field are fun no matter the weather. The Barbours are all delightful as are those who help care for the cottages. Heath Farm has become a favorite place and we hope we get to return!

Stayed Jan 1, 1After a warmly welcome we moved into our Cottage. It is lovingly decorated and on the Table, we found a fresh bouquet of flowers, the ordered cake and the muesli. The courtyard with the waterfall and many plants invites you to relax, read, enjoy tea and unwind. The ground with all its trees, flowers and shrubs invite you to go for walks, have picnics or play croquet. We really enjoyed our stay at Beechnut Cottagge (Heath Farm) and would recommend it to everyone.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Beechnut is a brilliant property with its very attractive and comfortable furniture and fittings. It is really warm and cosy and is also well equipped. I loved the lake, surrounding beautiful woods and nut orchards which make for great walks. The owners and their staff could not be more helpful. It was a dream come true for me.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Didn’t want to leave. Quiet. Comfortable. Warm. Well equipped. Not stingy with tea towels, dish washer tablets or fire wood (which has been the case at other places). Such a lovely and inspiring location. Also a good base for visiting other places. Well sign-posted (but the actual entrance is hard to see at night). We are making our plans to stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had our wedding here so all the cottages were booked out for the family. Everyone was taken aback by the care and attention paid to every detail. The cottages were a delight - cosy, quiet, comfortable Everyone at the wedding said they’d be looking in to booking their own weekend away at Heath Farm; it’s immaculate and so are all the cottages.

Stayed Jul 22, 2024This is the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. Jenny let us in the cottage, Beechnut, and later Ramón (Mon) showed us around. The cottage was super equipped for cooking. Our pattern is to just have coffee in the morning. We were grateful for the cafetiere which we call a French Press in the States. We ate out for lunch and then shopped at Tesco and cooked at night. There were all the cooking utensiles, pots and pans we needed. Including aluminum foil and cling wrap.Since we don't eat sweets, we asked for fresh eggs and cream as a welcome gift. Paper towel and toilet paper were abundant. We asked for a were given a fan for the bedroom. The gardens were beautiful. We used some of the walking maps provided and used the washer and dryer twice during our stay. God even provided rain-free days with some son. Ramón gave us a map of Oxford and helped us locate a park and ride. Just an example of the personal attention and generous hearts of our hosts. This would be perfect for a family reunion.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have previously stayed in Chestnut, and decided to try Beechnut this time. It's a lovely cottage, ideal for a couple. We arrived on the hottest day of the year to find one of the radiators stuck on, however the owners were quickly on the case trying to mitigate the issue, and a plumber fixed it permanently the next morning. We love the courtyard and the grounds. The owners and son are lovely to talk to. We hope to visit again in the near future, maybe for a winter stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The cottage and surroundings were superb , such a lovely location away from the hustle of the holiday traffic. We walked and explored the area as guided by the owners , the local pubs and restaurants were great . The Boxing Hare and the Joiners Arms particularly good . The accommodation was quaint and picturesque , our last night was spent sitting in the lounge with log fire and some wine, the weather had turned. Our walking day was just lovely the countryside is just beautiful, walking in the woods and across public bridleways. Thank you ! a great place to stay.
