The space
Our home offers a comfortable and spotless retreat,thoughtfully equipped for your every need:
️ Living & Dining: A large, open living space, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy romantic getaway. It boasts ample seating with a large couch and armchairs, a big dining table for 8, and an eat-in kitchen that seats 4, all with gorgeous views of the marsh.
Kitchen: A large, functional, and well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm. You'll find ample stocks of glassware, cookware, dishes, and pots/pans.
️ Bedrooms: Three good-sized bedrooms, each with a TV, offering you a hotel-quality sleep.
Bathrooms: Two bathrooms, one with a shower off the master bedroom and one shared with a full bath.
Comfort & Charm: Fully air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi and Roku TV, ensuring your comfort and entertainment throughout your stay.
Outdoor Oasis (Private)
Experience the heart of the marsh right from your backyard, a true oasis designed for enjoyment:
Marsh & Water Views: The home sits on a wide tidal creek, just 300 feet from the White Chimney River, which leads to the Intra-Coastal Waterway (ICW) and Sapelo Island. You'll enjoy stunning views and abundant wildlife.
Private Fenced Yard: A fully fenced-in yard is perfect for your furry friends to roam safely.
Private Dock: Your own private backyard dock is ideal for fishing, launching kayaks, or jumping in for a dip in the fresh salt water.
♀️ Tidal Creek Swimming: The water is navigable for much of the day, coming and going twice daily with the tides. At high tide, it's about 6 feet deep and feels very protected.
Screened-in Porch: A large screened-in porch overlooks the marsh, perfect for watching the sunset.
Fire Pit: A nice fire pit with ample seating and firewood provided for cozy evenings under the stars.
Outdoor Grill: An outdoor gas grill is available for delicious meals al fresco.
Complimentary Kayaks & Floaties: We provide four kayaks and several floaties for your use, making it easy to get out on the marsh and explore.
⛵ Boater Friendly: For boaters, there's a deep-water public ramp just half a mile from the house, visible from our dock.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and all its private outdoor amenities:
➡️ Check-in: 4:00 PM onwards.
⬅️ Check-out: 10:00 AM sharp.
Early Check-in / Late Check-out: Available upon request and subject to availability. Please inquire beforehand.
Entire Home & Yard: You have access to the entire house and the private, fenced-in yard.
Private Dock: Your private dock is all yours for fishing, crabbing, shrimp cleaning (at the dock sink), and launching kayaks.
Kayaks & Life Vests: Use our complimentary kayaks and life vests.
Private Fire Pit & Grill: Enjoy the private fire pit (with provided firewood) and outdoor gas grill.
Screened-in Porch: Relax on the large screened-in porch overlooking the marsh.
Pet Policy
We're happy to welcome certain friendly pets to our property, with a few important guidelines:
Dogs Only: We welcome dogs, but no cats, please .
️ No Furniture: Please ensure your furry friends stay off the furniture or beds. A $150 cleaning fee will apply for any excess pet hair found on furniture or beds.
Pet Fee: A per-pet fee applies.
Prior Notification: Please contact us prior to booking with your pet's details to ensure everything is a good fit and for details on pet fees.

House Rules
We want all our guests to have a wonderful and respectful stay at Marsh Tide Cottage. Please take a moment to review our house rules:
♀️ ♂️ Occupancy: The maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Please ensure the number of guests in your reservation is accurate, as no undeclared extra guests are permitted.
Smoking: Absolutely no smoking, vaping, or illegal substances are allowed inside the property.
Parties & Events: No parties or events are permitted unless prior permission is obtained before hand.
Quiet Hours: Please be mindful of noise levels, especially during quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.
Property Care: We kindly ask that you treat our home with respect and report any damages or issues promptly. Help us conserve energy by turning off lights and the AC/heating when leaving the property.
️ Booking Requirements: A three-night minimum stay applies during long weekends, spring break, summer weekends, and holidays.
Plumbing Care: Absolutely no wipes or female products should be flushed down the toilet. A $200 fee will apply for any plumbing blockages caused by these items.
Grill Use: Please turn off the gas to the BBQ grill immediately after use and be sure to clean it before check-out.
Kayak & Gear Storage: Please put kayaks and life vests away after each use.
Dock Cleanliness: Do not leave bait or garbage on the dock. Please ensure the exterior sink area is clean after cleaning fish.
