This was my wife and I's second year at Travis's camp on Madigan point rd. The cabin was clean and bright the added bonus of the heat pump was very welcome on the hot sticky nights providing us with cool air conditioned comfort. We discovered two fabulous family friendly spots (birch point and Norway point) in and around dark cove that were relatively short kayak paddles from the camp. The loons were amazingly plentiful along with the cool breezes and refreshing waters of East Grand lake. The cabin provides all the comforts of home with ample storage for both dry goods and refrigerated items. The screened in porch allows for night reading without the buzz of mosquitoes. Abundant trails are all around the towns of Danforth, Weston and Orient. Knight's market in Danforth is well stocked for all your needs. I highly recommend Travis's camp for anyone who enjoys all that nature has to offer. Thank you to Travis once again for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven.
We enjoyed our stay, it was a bit chilly but the kids still swam and kayaked. The camp was cozy and has a heat pump to take get you warm on those chilly nights. We had a fire every ju
This cabin/cottage is great. It was clean and had everything we needed, from a well equipped kitchen, laundry, kayaks, swim dock and more. We loved being right on the lake and the screen porch is a wonderful spot to take it all in. Or sit in the adirondack chairs at the edge of the lake. So peaceful and quiet. We hope to come back!
Nice stay, beautiful scene, quite and friendly neighborhood. Try mid-summer. End of August can be a little chilly if you expect to swim. But after all a definitely must see and visit area.
My wife and I have been staying at east Grand Lake in Mane for many years now.The clear cool water and fresh lake breezes melt away any cares you may have. Travis’s camp was just the thing we needed after the year we have had. The cabin was clean, bright and comfy. The dock into the water made the perfect spot for bird watching and photography. easy access to the lake was tO the left of the dock where the bottom was sandy and clear. All in all the camp was in a word “perfect” I highly recommend staying at Travis’s little slice of heaven. We certainey will be back next sason!
Camp had everything we needed, loved the long screened in porch and outdoor fireplace for relaxing, great kayaking, swimming and salmon fishing, nearby Danforth for local grocery shopping.
Great Maine camp, Travis was very helpful. Peace Rob
