Newberg, Oregon
A cozy cottage in the heart of The Willamette Valley. Walk to restaurants and tasting rooms and then relax on your own front porch or barbecue on your private back deck. The cottage has two bedrooms, both with Christopher Knight (tm) aloe vera infused queen-sized beds for a great night's sleep. The fully outfitted kitchen is ready to make an entire Thanksgiving dinner, and the clawfoot tub in the bathroom comes complete with bath products to pamper yourself.
Although we’re walkable to many attractions, our street is tranquil and you'll enjoy sitting in a porch rocker with a glass of wine (in our varietal-correct Riedel glasses), or relaxing in the backyard hammock or lounging furniture. (You may rent it as a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom and pricing is commensurate and based on the number of guests and the number of bedrooms used). If renting as a one-bedroom the second room will remain vacant and locked during your stay).

We are also just blocks away from the Hoover-Minthorn House Museum - the childhood home of President Herbert Hoover. You can take a short stroll to the historic Cameo Theater, which shows first-run movies in a historic gilded theater. Newberg is also home to one of the last remaining drive-in movie theaters on the West Coast. If visiting your college student at Nearby George Fox University you can walk or take a two-minute drive. We are blocks away from world-class dining (including "The Painted Lady," which is voted Oregon's best restaurant), antique stores and coffee shops.
How to get around:
You can walk to tasting rooms, restaurants, antique shops and historical sites. It's a short drive to Wineries and World-class dining. You can walk or take a 2 minute drive to George Fox University. Uber usually takes 5 minutes to arrive.
Fully appointed kitchen, laundry and outdoor spaces make this the ideal place to call home for a long weekend or extended trip. The home was fully renovated in 2017 to include brand new central heat and air conditioning, a new water heater (for luxurious baths in the restored clawfoot tub) and new electrical wiring and plumbing. You'll only feel like you've stepped back in time.
The home is appropriate for long stays (visiting winemakers or traveling distributors ) or for business travelers with a designated desk area stocked with office supplies, and screaming-fast Fios Wi-Fi.
Come shelter in a beautiful place! We are using enhanced cleaning procedures and keeping the cottage vacant at least 24 hours between guests. We sanitize all high-touch surfaces before you check in. We also provide masks, hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes for your stay. Many restaurants deliver to the cottage and we have lovely outdoor dining space on the back deck. Lots of restaurants in town (that you can walk to) also offer outdoor dining and limited capacity indoor dining! Newberg is open!
Great location for walking around town and getting out to the wineries. Michelle was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions that we had. A great place to stay.
The owners have thought of everything! They renovated this charming house keeping original character but adding modern touches such as the old-looking clock that is actually a Bluetooth speaker! We received excellent recommendations on wine and places to dine. Highly recommend for anyone looking to spend some time in wine country. Easy access to the coast and other must see sights in Oregon.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully renovated and furnished cottage. As an avid cook, I especially appreciated the abundant supply of herbs and spices, seasonings, coffee and coffee equipment, and particularly the recommendation to shop for fish at a wonderful local fish market. The updated 1920s stove was great fun to cook on. Michelle and Andrew seem to have anticipated every need.
Lovely cottage as advertised and pictures were accurate which isn’t always the case. They did think of everything and more. Sitting on back deck very relaxing. Convenient location. Hopefully will return again.
Fabulous! Everything was comfortable and exactly as expected. The location is perfect.
This is a lovely home in Newburg with all the amenities, an easy walk to great food and wine. Clean, well appointed, and very comfortable and convenient. We loved staying here.
Very easy & smooth! Everything went perfectly. Loved the special touches to the house provided for guests!
It’s the little things…. So many things provided to make our stay more comfortable such as coffee, sugar and cream, toiletries, even umbrellas. Newberg is very walkable, and we enjoyed a morning walk into town for breakfast each day. Michelle provided a great guide for the area, along with clear instructions on how to use everything in the house. Andrew helped steer us to wineries based on our criteria and also helped us ship some wine home. The reservation process was simple including check in and departure. Owners were very responsive to questions we had during the stay. If you go early in the week be aware that many restaurants are closed Monday and Tuesday. We enjoyed wonderful meals at the Newbergundian Bistro (great halibut caught the same day and filleted one hour before I ate it) and Earth and Sea in Carlton where the scallops and ahi tuna were amazing. While the house has been fully renovated and updated, it still retains its period charm with a claw foot tub and beautiful kitchen with copper ceiling tiles and unique stove. It was spotless, and street parking was always available right in front of the house. All in all a great getaway spot!
Really lovely place lovingly updated. Much information provided on the local area. Great place
Excellent home base for a couple of days wine tasting. Very well appointed and comfortable beds! Michelle is easy and awesome to work with. We would absolutely recommend this spot. Loved it!!
It is all about the small touches . Whole bean coffee and a decanter of bourbon . The latter is something I have never seen before .
