Luxury 5 star cottage with 7 bedrooms and hot tub

Woodpecker cottage was everything we’d hoped for, for our family party. It was warm and welcoming and exactly as described. Couldn’t have been better. Will definitely book again if we’re looking for a large house for a party.

We assembled an international family get together and the property was great, plenty of space to spread out.

A brilliant, rural cottage with everything you could need for a family break. Spacious rooms, lots of seating, lovely walks, a secure garden at the back, a tennis court for all to use, a fire pit and bbq area with an outside fridge, ample parking, the kitchen was full of everything needed, the owners had thought of everything. A washer and dryer, iron and board, hair dryers and alarm clocks in the bedroom draws. Farm shop, supermarkets and entertainment centre was just a short drive away.

Three generations of our family gathered to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. We have stayed at Woodpecker many times and always enjoyed our visits. We used a local business for buffet and birthday cake. The house is spacious and comfortable and also accessible for one of our granddaughters who is permanently in a wheelchair. The newly installed wood fired hot tub was particularly popular with the grandchildren. I would definitely recommend Woodpecker for large family gatherings.

Trying to find somewhere big enough and with wet room facilities is always a challenge. Woodpecker cottage ticked all the boxes. Tha accessible bathrooms on the ground floor are perfect. The layout is great as is location. What a difference it makes when you don't have to try to find logs for the fire. Everything is there. Hopefully we can return when the weather improves. All round fabulous place with very helpful owners.

The Woodpecker Cottage was absolutely perfect as the main get together event, due to its access, ground floor en-suite bedroom for my elderly parents, no steps except the conservatory, which they easily managed We had 4 of the beautiful cottages and this accommodated all our needs Have stayed before with a smaller group and will certainly stay again and as a family we are looking at maybe a summer month, as the surroundings and a trip to the village would be ideal on a sunny day

Loved the house, plenty room & great facilities. Beautiful location with plenty of outdoor space. Spotlessly clean.

We LOVED our holiday at Woodpecker. Both for 2 of us for a few days peace and quiet and for 14 of us when our family arrived to celebrate a big birthday. Everything we needed was there for a fabulous time. Already recommended to several people we know with mobility problems
