Stayed May 22, 2025The property is in a beautiful and quiet location. We loved the rustic and relaxed style of the property. When we needed help with the door lock, the homeowner was very responsive. The final 20 minutes of the drive to the house are along the waterfront and the speed limit is low because the road is small and there are people walking, playing and tending to their flowerbeds, close to the roadside. We planned to bring all our food with us on arrival so we could limit our drives in and out. We respected the homeowner’s request for water saving measures.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025We enjoyed the space, the dock and the outdoor gazebo and seating. It was a multi-generational trip with ages from 23-87 years and everyone was very happy with the place. Plenty of towels for both the kitchen and the bathrooms, plenty of dishes, the only thing lacking was enough wine glasses. We enjoyed using the pool rings and the kayaks. The house was comfortable, the cliff to the back of us was nice for shading the property first thing in the morning. A 3-mile long road with a 10-mile-an-hour speed limit ensures you remember to make a list of everything you might want from the store! We had the added benefit of being there over the 4th, and got to watch some pretty great fireworks all around the lake.

Stayed Aug 28, 2024Mike and Melissa were wonderful. Their house is beautiful and nicely updated. The upstairs guest room was far enough away from everyone else to feel like a relaxing escape from the rest of the family. The dock toys (floats) were fun and brand new. The space was perfect for our needs. We had an issue with bees and spiders but Mike was quick to get an exterminator.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024This was the perfect lake house for my family. The lake was a few feet from the house with a great view. Easy access to the water. Plenty of adult water toys. It was hot and humid but the room air conditioners made us comfortable. We had a fair amount of rain but so many covered areas outside made us happy. We would love to rent this next year.

Stayed Jul 6, 2024My family (two adult kids, hubs, his mom and our dog) had an amazing vacation. This is a two-building property on Cayuga Lake with a two-bedroom, one bath house as well as a guesthouse with one bedroom and a half bath on the first floor and a bedroom and full bath on the second floor with separate entrances. There is parking for 4 cars. There's a dock on Cayuga Lake which is lovely for swimming, and the sunsets just couldn't be beat. The kitchen was well-equipped as we cooked nearly all our meals there. Also, we had a few issues, to which Mike was extremely responsive. Some things to know: It is 3 miles down a single-lane gravel road which has a speed limit of 10 miles an hour and even if you drive 10 miles an hour people will scream at you to slow down. Also, don't even look at people's grass because they get really mad if your dog gets near their grass, or you pull over to avoid an oncoming truck. There are a lot of wasps, particularly in the late afternoon. Also, there are a crazy number of spiders. It was a lot to keep them at bay in the outdoor areas, and they did find their way into the indoor ones. I do a lot of walking, and I ruined a pair of sneakers walking on the gravel road. If you travel with your dog, you'll want to be aware of this so she doesn't hurt her paws. I think that's all the things - it was truly a great vacation. I would've planned a little better knowing these things, so I thought I'd share them.

Stayed May 23, 2024This was our second time staying at the house and we loved it even more! It's a 15 min drive in on Honoco Rd at 10mph, but it's worth it. Loved the two houses and it was so relaxing and quiet. The glider on the dock was so relaxing and we enjoyed a few dinners outside under the covered patio. House has all up need! Check out Long Point State Park and Long Point Winery, too.

Stayed Sep 28, 2023It was great! Comfortable…. Peaceful…..we really enjoyed sitting on the dock/ patio each night for sunset. We were out and about each day…. Wineries, apple festival, and Mac kensie Childs art show…. So coming back to the lake each day was perfect. Any questions we had Michael answered right away… we definitely look forward to doing it again!

Stayed Sep 1, 2023I can't put into words how special our stay here was! The property has everything! Family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the cool, clear, refreshing lake with swimming, relaxing in the tubes and kayaking. Our dog has never been so happy, retrieving a ball in the water from sun-up to sun-down! The grill, covered picnic table and firepit were amazing...and the sunsets on the lake....ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! Our family now all wants this to be an annual trip! Thank you Melissa!

Stayed Jun 30, 2023This was a family trip for 8 adults and 2 dogs. We had a great time. The property consists of a main house with two bedrooms that is right on the Lake. The guest house is a two story home with bedrooms on each floor. The hosts were great, No issue checking in. The house was well stocked and they were kind enough to provide recommendations on places to eat and see. The home was clean and had plenty of room for our group. The only challenge is that the house is near the end of a partially paved road that takes about 20 minutes to get out of the neighborhood so when you run out to the store, make a list to avoid forgetting things. We spent some time at the brewery and winery when we weren’t enjoying the lake. The hosts provided two kayaks and plenty of tubes to enjoy the water and a small pump to inflate and deflate. We also rented out a pontoon boat at a nearby and had a great day (reserve early). Lake was not crowded and the water was pretty warm. Overall we had a great time and would recommend the place!
