Lido/St. Armands, Sarasota-Walk to Beach & St. Armands, Private cottage w/grill!

The cottage is perfect for two people as it is very small. Very convenient to the beach. The pool is closed due to Covid so that was disappointing. Different property manager than posted on Expedia. If you like a hard/firm bed than it’s perfect for you. Location was good for local restaurants, shopping and beach. The only down side for me was communication. Two days into our stay we lost internet and the coffee maker wasn’t working right. We ended up buying a coffee maker. I reached out to property manager about these two issues and she said “Will get things worked out”. Never heard back from her. Four days later we had a power outage. Notified property manager and didn’t hear back from her until I let her know we saw two unity trucks and asked how long for repair. Her response to my letting her know that it would be another half an hour was “I was waiting for them to call me back”. Three hours is a long time to wait for letting me know anything about outage or not to worry. Communication was just lacking when issues came up. We aren’t from the area so not familiar with power outages and who to call, internet going out and no router to reboot and buying our own coffee maker and no one ever came to see if everything was okay. When you rent for ten days and things happen property manager should be in it. FYI we understood it was a holiday weekend and getting back to us would be slow. But to never respond or give an update is not good.

There was no pool on our portion of the property. We were not expecting a pool.The unit was super clean. The location was fantastic.There were lots of small touches, box of tissues, cushions on Adirondack chairs, nightlight in bathroom, small syrup in cabinet, that showed owner wanted to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! Perfect location, incredibly clean and wonderful communication. The property had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy. The beach wagon with chairs and umbrella was great to have. We enjoyed sitting outside at night. Being able to walk to the beach as well as st Armands circle. Was perfect. We definitely recommend this property!

Clean comfortable and well equipped

We had such a wonderful stay at this studio unit! The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable — we both slept like babies every night, which is so important when you're away from home. The shower was also fantastic, with great hot water & water pressure. It’s a great value!The hosts were amazing, too. They were responsive and welcoming, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The grill was a great bonus for some evening meals, and we loved the privacy of the property, which made it feel like a true retreat. Plus, it’s just a short walk to the beach — couldn’t have asked for a better location. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free getaway!

Great spot easy walk to beach and restaurants

We loved our cottage. Perfect location very private but not isolated. Clean and comfortable. We will definitely return next year. We had all the convenience of home.

Everything was exactly as described. Very comfortable for two people. St. Armand’s Circle was delightful. Went to the Saturday morning Farmers Market in downtown via the trolley. Of course, being so close to the beach just sealed the deal. A great place to stay for 2 people.

The property had the best location! We could walk to the beach and St Armand’s very easily. The house had everything we needed and we had a wonderful time. We will stay here when we come again!

The beach cottage is very nice but the pictures on the web site show a pool, but when you receive your information email it said the pool is for the house. There is no mention of house with the cottage with grill, so why is there a picture of it. the rest of the pictures are correct. Easy to get to St, Armands circle.

Nice private cottage. Very close to beach and not far from St. Armands Circle. We were able to see gorgeous sunsets every night nearby. Love the location and cleanliness. We will be back!

Amazing experience! Perfect for two people! The mattress was incredibly comfortable, with pillows that were just right, making for great nights of sleep. The entire place was impeccably clean and inviting, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were exceptional—super nice and always responsive. Whenever we needed local advice, they were quick to help and provided lots of useful information ahead of our stay. Their hospitality truly enhanced our trip. We had an issue with losing power for a couple hours, that was the only reason for our four-star review. Hosts responded quickly. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended this cottage!

The property itself is extremely nice! Very small, exactly as described. Outdoor space was exceptional with privacy, lounge chairs, a grill and everything you need for a day at the beach. However, nothing beats a great night of sleep and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Lumpy with a bar in the center to where you actually are going to roll off, uncomfortable for one person, never mind 2. All pillows need to be replaced, bed pillows and couch pillows. There was also a huge stain on the couch and no mugs for coffee, luckily we brought our own.
