Nothing says holidays like a hot tub. After dinner's done and the night is but young, fire up the bubbles and watch the panoramic view of the sun setting over the lake from your private secure deck. This is just one of the magical moments you can experience whilst staying at Lapwing Lake Lodge.

Perched on the water's edge, Lapwing Lake Lodge is a chic New England-style retreat with plenty of room for six plus pooch. The pretty clapper board-style exterior and fantastic water-front setting make a brilliant first impression. The convenience of the location within steps of a family-friendly lakeside bar, brasserie, gym and a great children's play area come a close second.

Located on Spring Lake, our lake house has prime position in the Cotswold Water Park, one of the best kept secrets of Gloucestershire! One of 150 lakes in an area the size of Jersey, there's so much to explore and something for everyone. Wildlife, water sports, activities, great eateries, walking, history and culture are just some of the things you will find nearby.

The lake house itself has been stylishly renovated to mirror its setting, offering super lake views from inside and out. Downstairs, it's fully open plan complemented by stunning bi-folding doors that stretch across the back of the house. They ensure the house is filled with calm and tranquil light whilst showing the lake off in all its charming glory.

An ever changing picture of water-skiers, swans and rippling water can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sofa, or fold the doors back and the living area takes on a new and exciting feel. The outside space becomes an extension to the house, providing the perfect spot for sizzling steaks on the barbecue. Or simply sitting back to enjoy lakeside life while your own hot tub bubbles invitingly and watch the world go by.

Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with a 5' bed and full length window overlooking the lake, allowing you the same stunning views. There are two further twin/double bedrooms with 5' zip and link beds and a family bathroom. Extra care has been taken for families, and you will find lots of special touches around the house if you are planning on taking the little ones.

The light bright interiors with family-friendly luxuries are added bonuses, whilst the fact that there's a golf course, water sports centre, bike hire and routes, plus a choice of restaurants and pubs, within a short, scenic walk really sets it apart. Although, for most young families, the fact that the UK's largest inland beach with a purpose built toddler paddling and playground area is within a 10-15 minute stroll is the icing on the cake.

We were very disappointed with our 2-day stay. The sofa and pillows were unclean and smelled unpleasant. The hot tub water was murky and did not feel safe to use. There were spider webs and dirt all over the property.Overall, the place felt poorly maintained and not worth the price.

Beautiful home In a great location. Plenty of utensils which is great. No mop so we brought one and left it there. Loved all the activities that are close to the house, all in all a fantastic holiday!

Lovely property with amazing views. The main room and downstairs are awesome. The 2nd and 3rd rooms are a little small and cozy but the views and location more than make up for it.

We had the most wonderful time staying in lapwing lodge. The accommodation is perfect, with all the things you possibly need. The fresh bread, eggs, butter and milk are a lovely touch. The hot tub is a lovely touch after a long day exploring and dog walking. Kevin is a wonderful host and is always at the end of the phone if you need him. The location is perfect, central to lots of lovely villages and things to do. We hope to return soon in the summer months.

Couldn't have wanted more form the property. A fully functioning hot tub was the main attraction, it was amazing and we had plenty of use of it! Fresh eggs, bread, milk and ice lollies were awaiting our arrival which was a wonderful addition. A variety of water sports and activities are a stones throw away from the front door. Couldn't recccomend enough and will definitely be back!
