The house is absolutely amazing. The views, pool, and bedrooms were fantastic. We had the chef's come make dinner three times and each time was delicious, and they were so kind and gracious, highly recommended. Absolutely wonderful vacation!
Our group of 8 (2 families with 2 teenagers and 2 kids) had an absolute perfect vacation here. The house is truly stunning, immaculately clean, and even more pretty than the pictures. From pre-arrival throughout our stay Jacqui, the house manager, was absolutely responsive and helpful. She arranged for us several activities, including massages at the house (Jazmine was amazing), a deep sea fishing trip where we caught mackerel and Bonita, a snorkeling trip to Ixtapa Island, and three meals cooked at the house. The chefs were absolutely lovely and the food was the best we had during our trip. Carlos, our driver, was timely and perfectly accommodating of our various schedules including trips to the beach and for surfing. In short we asked for lots of activities and Jacquie and her team delivered over and beyond with each and every request. If you’re considering booking Casa Esperitu don’t hesitate!
Breathtaking scenery from almost every room in the house. This is our second time staying in this neighborhood which we enjoy because of the amazing vistas, the almost ever-present breeze and gated security. This was our first stay at the Casa and the photos don't do it justice. We were two couples, so we had ample space and did not have to worry about getting primo seating on the three pool lounges. We especially enjoyed the main area, the dining room with the big, beautiful wooden table and comfortable chairs, and the TV, office, internet room that allows for some privacy. The upstairs main bedroom suite is gigantic and has a great view from the terrace (would have enjoyed a chaise lounge up there or on the downstairs verandas). It has a seating area, ample closet space, a table with a make-up mirror in front of a window and comfortable king bed. The main bathroom is huge, with two sinks, two shower heads and a toilet. I was a bit worried about the two windows over the toilet compromising privacy, as they do not have shutters, but the street is not busy, and it might be hard to look into the bathroom from the street unless someone makes an effort. Yolanda rigged up an ingenious solution to covering a window in the bedroom that does not have shutters, so the room would be less bright early in the morning, making sleeping in possible with earplugs to quiet the bird sounds outside. Thank you! It was great to open up the shutters to see the unbeatable view! The other couple stayed in one of the two lower bedrooms with a nice view and terrace. We did not use the fourth bedroom which is dark, damp, smells musky and has to be reached via a narrow hallway passing the laundry area and pool/mechanical room. The fourth bedroom has a door to the outside, two windows, but no view. We would not have wanted to stay in that room, because of location and ambiance. Teens might like the increased privacy and being away from the adults, but they might be tempted to sneak out. The outside kitchen is very well stocked with lots of functional pots and pans, dishes, Tupperware, silverware. We appreciated that someone had left cellophane, little baggies and foil, but that might be a function of who leaves what when they leave. The stove is huge and worked well. So did all the other appliances. Jacqui was great to work with. She was communicative via email ahead of time and easily reachable via WhatsApp during our stay. Yolanda was super friendly and kept things clean.
Beautiful place and ideal for family or 4 couples ..
This property is stunning and very likely has the best view in Zihuatanejo! Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, which is nice when traveling with family or friends! Three of the four bedrooms have beautiful ocean views but we were very disappointed in the 4th bedroom. It had no view and was dark. The kitchen could use more spices for those of us who like to cook while on vacation. But we opted to hire an in-home chef for one meal....it was probably the BEST meal we had while there! Jackie, the house manager, can set up almost anything you need, including the private chef! My only two complaints, and they are VERY minor....the home was located a little far from the center of town, where we ended up taking taxis nearly every day. And the beds weren't very comfortable (I am hard to please there, though!) All in all, my family loved this place! We felt safe and secure in the private neighborhood and if we had any questions, Jackie was nearly always available to assist us! Money and time well spent! THANK YOU!
This is our second time in casa EspÃritu. The ocean view is the best but also the beautifully open space designed house.
Loved the house, the infinite pool, the master bedroom. The view is the best. Great neighborhood as well.
We have stayed at a few places in Zihua over the years and this one had the best view - truly spectacular. Perfect house for 3 couples. We walked to La Ropa most days. The front gate will get you a taxi in minutes if you want to go into town. Peaceful and Lovely.
The property was very nice, beautiful view and sunsets! We felt very secure with the gate and the friendly men who were always there to protect the property, they were very helpful getting you home safe. We only have a problem getting a refund for one night stay as we gave the wrong date but immediatly notified the owner back in May when we booked but the charge went through and have not been successful in retrieving it through him or the VRBO. We would highly recommend staying there though and we would love to revisit as well! Gary & Natalie
This was our 10th or 11th visit to Zihua, most of them in condos. Casa Espiritu without a doubt had the best views in Zihua. It is easiest for me to list what we liked and what we didn't (not much). Pros: Views were spectacular!! The condo was well appointed and beautiful. Kitchen had everything you need. Never ran out of ice. Housekeeping did a great job, Yolanda was there every other day. Jaqueline (on location manager) was a great help with stuff, like reservations. Every afternoon there was a breeze off the ocean, it never got too hot. We had the chef come in, it was delicious, should have done it twice. We are used to a lot of stairs at the condos, there was relatively few at Casa Espiritu. Guarded community, very safe, security actually will escort you so you don’t get lost. Very quiet The security personnel did great job with getting taxis. Cons: Pool was a little cool, morning shade. We always used it when we were overheated from the beach. Maintenance issues that were addressed quickly. Not really a con. We had a hard time pronouncing Cerro Del Vigia for the taxis back. You have to use a taxi pretty much anytime you wanted to go somewhere. I would definitely recommend Casa Espiritu to anyone come down to Zihua.
