The cabin was very cozy and located on a beautiful lakefront just 10 minutes south of Mackinaw City. Great lakeside amenities, spacious enclosed patio, and interesting artwork throughout. Blustery weather kept us from using the lakefront seating area during our stay but overall the cabin was perfect for everything else we did that weekend.

The atmosphere and view is beautiful and just what we were looking for. We fished a little off the dock and watched the sunset every evening. Mosquitos are horrible, and bug spray offered very little protection. We did experience a rather large hiccup during our stay that was quite an inconvenience for us. However, this was out of Gary’s control, and he did everything within his power to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Communication with Gary was good, and he was always quick to respond. With that said, the cleanliness of the cabin is certainly not kept up on. I wouldn’t expect it to be spotless due to it’s location (dust, gravel, etc). It simply just does not look like much cleaning is done. First day I was barefoot inside, and there was so much dirt on the kitchen floor, sweeping was necessary. There was no detergent to wash the towels as requested. Salt is not kept in the softner, so hard water. This kept me from washing my hair & utilizing the washer. Saw 3 roaches. The setup of the cabin is not designed for comfort. There are no tables or dressers in either room where items could be sat vs throwing everything on the dirty floor. Furniture on patio is not comfortable. Couldn’t imagine attempting to sit on any of it if we were on the larger size. The contemporary look kills the cabin vibe. Like trying to bring big city to rural area. If we were to visit the area again, would explore other options on the lake.

Great location and lovely setting. This was a well stocked cabin with all the necessary items to make for a comfortable stay. Very easy access to area attractions, a great home base for day trip travels. Being directly on the water was a super peaceful place to have coffee in the morning and lay on the dock at night to sky watch.

Stayed here again and it was just as good as the first time. It was during a heat advisory so it was hot but that’s no one’s fault. I would advise if you come when it is really hot to bring your own fans. Only because the air was so warm we had an issue sleeping because there was no a/c only fans. We used 3 of our own fans with all the other fans on and it was still hard to sleep at night. We ended up leaving a day early due to it but that was 100% our choice and due to the weather. Nothing to do with this cabin. We would still stay here again but next time bring our portable a/c machine with us.

The property is lovely and would be great for a sunnier beach weekend. Did not get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities due to the weather, but that’s Michigan for you. Things were a bit worn, torn, and dusty in some places, but that’s pretty standard for a cabin in the spring.

Took the family up north to explore the nearby forests with the autumn colors on full display.... Great location right on the lake, restaurants closeby in Mackinac City, and short drive to Wilderness Park and the Tunnel of Trees. WiFi was recently installed which was great but cell service also very good in the area. We will be back!

The contemporary feel is nice and all but the furniture was not comfortable at all. Which resulted in spending very little time in the living room area. Definitely would recommend getting some recliners or something. Other than that the cabin would have gotten 5 stars

Lovely. We did miss patio furniture or any seating accommodations for outside but all in all it was Avery lovely stay. Honestly. With the lake in the back yard it is an oasis. Plus you are minutes awsy from as ll the touristy points of interests. We would love to spend a week there in late summer.

This is a charming property, well situated on Paradise Lake, perfect for sunset viewing. The shared living space is quite roomy, however the furniture is not comfortable or conducive to sitting through a movie. There appears to be a wonderful outside terrace overlooking the lake, however, the timing of our visit, October, did not allow us to partake. The kitchen is well appointed, including a toaster and air fryer. There is a washer and dryer, which is a plus. The bathroom is tiny, with no space to stage any items, such as toothbrushes. The space was good for me and my husband. Unfortunately, the bedroom was cramped and the view of the lake from the bedroom was blocked by bunk beds. The main dining table is located on a glassed in, but unheated porch. This property is best suited for warm temperatures and plans for lots of outdoor activities. Be informed, there is no wifi, so bring DVDs or your own hotspot to stream.

We checked in to a strong musty smell, sagging ceiling panels held together by tape, and many other disappointing aspects. We reached out to the owner who quickly refunded our stay. While we appreciate that, be advised that the listing leaves much to be desired. There are broken windows, broken screens, obvious damage to the home’s ceiling and walls. It just needs some serious care before being ready to rent.

This place is a nice getaway if you are wanting to unplug from the internet and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Paradise. My son and I enjoyed using the available kayaks and it was a bonus for our stay. While I must have missed the details of no wifi, it turned out to be a good thing for my kids and I. We got to enjoy family time outside and enjoyed playing board games inside in the evening. There is a dvd player that my kids enjoyed watching the movies that the host has available, several kid movies (Garfield & Home Alone were the 2 we watched). I have AT&T cell service and it is spotty so be sure to have your details downloaded before then. The host was kind enough to have an additional key waiting for me when I locked myself out for the day. Additional positives are: -Comfortable Beds and Linens -Kitchen Cookware, including an Air Fryer -Full fridge and freezer -Beautiful enclosed sun room with screened windows that open -Close to small market to get the essentials -Host responds and is helpful and understanding Drawbacks -Tub only has a shower option and low water pressure -The entry door opens from the inside when locked. Make sure to immediately replace your key back to the lock box so you are not in my situation. Luckily the host was understanding and accommodating.
