Stayed Jun 3, 2025The overall cleanliness of the cottage was disappointing . The place needs a deep clean and has an ant problem. There was a questionable stain on the bunkbed which lead us to believe the sheets weren’t swapped before we arrived. The dock has a motor running 24/7 (assuming to keep the water clear) so don’t bet on a quiet morning coffee out on the water. The communication was frustrating at times. For example when asking about the garbage policy, they failed to mention that you need clear bags for all garbage and recycling (not provided) and that there’s a 12 fee to at the dump since they don’t provide a dump card for the house. The couches had the legs removed (pictures don’t reflect this) so they are lower on the floor and much less comfortable. Lastly, they had us buy our own propane for the bbq as it was empty when we arrived. That’s pretty unusual for a cottage rental since the bbq is an amenity provided. Would not stay there again.
