The beat place we've stayed yet. Beautiful...well stocked and thoughtful!
We had a wonderful time, the home was beautiful and the view of Lake Pend O’Reille was spectacular.
We stayed the last week of August & found the home exactly as described & pictured. Our two sons & their better halves joined us for a week of reconnection & relaxation. This was a perfect home for all of us to find a corner to read, take SUPs or kayaks out, or jump in the lake! It worked out for us to stay in the 2nd floor loft bedroom & have our kids stay in the two lower level bedrooms. Two of our group had to work during several days & there were quiet spaces for them to work inside or outside on the 2 decks. The dining table was great for meals as well as game playing in the evening & we did puzzles on the island and lift-top coffee table. The lake was ~70-72F, cool but refreshing on a hot day. We really appreciated use of the beach towels too! The ~20 metal stairs were intimidating for my son's dog but he soon learned to run down the hill to the waterfront instead. We ate out in Sandpoint one evening but cooked most of our meals. Shopping at Yokes was very nice as was the Safeway for groceries. We went to Wood Butcher shop for some local tenderloin steaks & chops. The kitchen very easy to work in and is very well stocked with most needs and many nicities. We used the big grill two or three times and appreciated the use of the washer & dryer since we all were flying in. The owners were very kind and responsive with answers to our questions and suggestions. We appreciated the welcome basket and the housekeeper's delicious sweet bread & jam.
We were blown away when we entered the door. The house was updated, clean and cool. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows. SUPs, life jackets and lawn chairs. The dock was wonderful and it’s easy enough to walk in from the bank if needed. Great place!!!
We love this house. Our family and my brother’s family go to Lake Pend Orielle every year. Last year we stayed here and it is now our go to house. The description on VRBO is completely accurate. You can’t beat the view! It’s a bit of a drive to Sandpoint (easy 25 min ish by car), but you won’t want to leave anyway!
Awesome time at Jade's lake house on the Lake. It was super clean and welcoming. The weather was perfect. It provided the ultimate relaxing trip!
We had the best time at the cottage! We lucked out with perfect weather and couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. The house was fabulous and we loved the dock so much! We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished, swam, lounged and played with the dogs, who might have loved the lake even more than we did. We were surprised how warm the water was and how peaceful and quiet the lake was. The house was very cozy and everything was like new and sparkly clean. The Nintendo Switch and foosball table were a big hit, the beds were super comfortable, the internet worked great and the kitchen made cooking easy and fun. It was awesome to sit out on the deck first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the bald eagles preen! We also got to see a wild turkey and found a couple of frogs. The owners were very attentive and there were so many thoughtful touches, they even had doggie life jackets! I will mention that the metal stairs to get to and from the lake were not dog’s favorite to negotiate, however they did eventually get more comfortable with them. Just something to keep in mind if you are traveling with an older or anxious dog. Thank you for sharing your house! It was a great way to kick off the summer! We made so many wonderful memories and hope we can come back soon!
The house was awesome and well stocked. It was very clean and comfortable. We had a great stay and a very relaxing time on the water. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about the place. We appreciate the owner making this place available.
Our family enjoyed staying here so much! We had two groups of adults and two kids (4 and 2) and the house fit everyone nicely without us feeling too crowded in. The foosball table was the evening highlight and the dock with SUPs and kayaks was amazing to enjoy during the day. Despite some colder weather, we still enjoyed fishing, swimming and bird watching (eagles, ravens, osprey, and heron) as well as the fire pit and grill for dinner. The drive into Sandpoint for dinner, the beach and shopping was also scenic around Bottle Bay and the quiet private road into the property was perfect for taking long walks. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked enough to do some cooking and baking. We didn't find ourselves needing any appliances or tools that weren't already in the kitchen! The gift basket was a great touch too!
My husband and I had a wonderful time, with our two fur babies, at the lake house. The view was magnificent, house was spacious and well appointed. We appreciated the attentions to the small details. Thank you!
Gorgeous location, nestled among the pine trees along the shore of the lake. Very clean, well appointed, family-friendly house with lake views from nearly every window!! Our navigation took us down the wrong road, but we eventually found it! We planned on skiing at Schweitzer for the weekend, but after an inadvertent toe injury, we ended up staying inside the whole weekend. We played cards, board games, Mario Cart on the provided Nintendo Switch and the boys especially enjoyed the Foozeball table! We will definitely book this home again in the future!
Very nice property and very relaxing
Everything was great about this property! Unfortunately we picked a week where there was a ton of wildfire smoke but we made the most of our time and the house was exceptionally clean and comfortable and even though it was hazy, you can’t beat the location and views. The owners were super responsive. The coffee maker was really slow and on its last legs and the owners had Sharon bring a new one right over. And Sharon had the house clean and even put together a welcome basket with yummy homemade pumpkin cranberry bread. We were able to just relax and enjoy our trip!
Great property! Views. comfort. VERY well appointed kitchen. Nice lake theme for decoration. Great Decks. Swimming and watersports off the dock were fantastic. Kayaks, SUPs, rental boats across the bay. Owner and cleaner very responsive. AC was a nice feature many homes don't have-and it was in the 90's. Quiet roads to walk/run/bike. Otters playing in the water. Very nice rental home and stay.
Property was very clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Bottle Bay was a nice area to be because the water was calmer for water activities. A small negative is the dirt road into the property and lack of parking for boat trailer. Not everyone will have a boat though and parking for the trailer is available before the house.
The house had everything for cooking, great location, very clean and comfortable. The dock was fun with kayaks and paddle boards and a great place for kids to swim.
Wonderful few days on the lake enjoying a beautiful home and great company.
This home was so clean, washer and dryer was very nice! Furniture and beds very nice and comfy. Loved that the owners told us the story of how they got the property & they were so kind to answer any questions we had about the property. Loved that they have kayaks and paddle boards and told us where to go on the lake. Would love to come back to this property! Thank you! Also: the pickles are to die for that the cleaning lady makes. OMG
