Beautiful view from deck, great short walk to the amazing beach home was perfect for our weekend stay
The stay in the Campbell’s cottage was perfect—exceptionally clean and well cared for little cottage that has everything you need for a great outdoor vacation on the lake. It is quaint, so bigger families might find it too small, but was perfect for what we needed.
We stayed for two nights, myself, my husband, and our 2 year old. Very quiet and remote area and the house was comfortable with amazing views. Bring your own toddler specific stuff from home if you are brining little ones. We did, and we had no problems. We would go back for sure.
Beautiful property, a well-maintained and very clean home. Hosts were friendly and attentive to every detail.Really enjoyed their hospitality while staying in their beautiful cottage.
Clean, great prop owners good location !
The hosts were very kind and hospitable. Helped us out in a crunch when our car battery died. The view from the deck was breathtaking. The area is very central to all the other options for tourist activities. The house is a quick walk to the beach but if you'd prefer to drive because of all the beach stuff you have, the hosts provide a parking pass.
We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. Rich, the host, was so responsive and hospitable. The views of Lake Michigan are amazing. It's a quiet little neighborhood - perfect for a little R&R. Highly recommend.
Loved our stay as the cottage was the perfect location for a guys golf weekend. Really close proximity to all the courses we play, the Stony Lake Inn and the views of Lake Michigan from the deck were amazing. The Hosts couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Very responsive.
Very pleasant owners and cozy little cottage on a bluff with a neat wide view of the lake.
We booked this cottage for our annual family trip to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, which makes this a perfect place for adults or couples wanting to get away from it all and just be in a quiet environment. There is no cell service in the area, however, with the provided wi-fi you can still easily connect if you must. The owner's home is in very close proximity (literally right next door) if anything at all is needed. They were very helpful in providing suggestions, answering questions, or making us aware of rules for the house and community. All important, as we want to ensure we are being respectful to their property and community. Also helpful...there are notes posted throughout the cottage letting you know what needs to be done to ensure all goes well during your stay (e.g. closing windows before venturing out for the day in case storm pops up). The cottage has a spectacular view of the lake, which was our favorite thing about the place. Enjoyed sitting on the massive deck to have my morning coffee. There is a 'beachy' (i.e. sandy) firepit nestled right in between the cottage and the owner's home, which also provides a lovely view of the lake. While the cottage does not have A/C, there were fans provided and with the windows open, the cottage stayed at a comfortable temperature while we were there. The beach is a very short walk from the cottage. Be prepared though if you are out of shape (like me), it's quite the hill to walk back up to the cottage, LOL. The beach is again very quiet and tranquil. The house has a washer, which is very helpful. You can then line-dry your items. One issue that we encountered (which probably would not impact anyone else) was parking our trailer with quads. It was a bit of a challenge to comfortably park the trailer due to the steep incline/decline of the hill by the cottage. And since the main driveway has to be clear so the owner's can get in/out of their house (as noted in the rental description), parking options are limited. My husband finally got semi-comfortable with it, but definitely a challenge to consider. But again, I'm sure this issue is probably isolated to just us, with most people that actually ride on the dunes staying in closer proximity to the dunes.
We had such a lovely time at Rich and Judy's cottage! It is even more charming in person than in the photos. We had everything we needed for a great get-away and of course the beautiful beach is only steps away down the road. Plenty of room for our family of four plus an additional guest for a couple of days. We have stayed at many places in Michigan and this is by far our favorite! Can't say enough great things about it! Can't wait to return next summer!
We had a very relaxing time. The property was just as described and just what we were looking for...beautiful Lake Michigan just steps away, clean, sparsely populated beach, no noisy harbor town,- just quiet sunsets, long walks, grilled dinners on the big deck, perfect weather...and a short drive to several of our favorite state parks. The owners were very friendly. We are thankful to have found this place and hope to to come back.
