It was perfectly convenient for my stay. Park was 5 minutes if you walked slow, to smell the roses. Only a couple of minor issues with the hot water..might need to flush it. And the coffee maker..But, still loved your proerty. I would definitely stay again!! Thank you very much for letting me stay. v/r, DD oses.
Comfortable beds. Beach toys and chairs available. Charcoal grill available. Clean inside. Would stay here again.
The property was cozy and clean
This was a cute little cottage that was perfect for a family of 5 to stay in! Super close to the state park and about 15 minutes from downtown Cape Charles! When we arrived it was clean, furniture was nice, towels folded neatly and beds already made!
Everything was good just the WiFI it never works.
Walking distance to State Park , which had nice trails, boat launch and beach. Cottage was cute inside, water was hot for showers . Need new mattresses on beds. Could use more cooking utensils. Screen on screen door needs to be replaced ripped in a few spots . Porch needs to be screened in , can’t enjoy sitting out for morning coffee or in the evening for hanging out and meals , and steps going up to the porch needs hand railings. No fire ring to enjoy at night . Outside of cottage needs a make over. Infested with fruit flies, got worse the last two days, hiding in the sinks , refrigerator , freezer , and closets, had to cover drinks and food plates while eating. and stink bugs were bad. Needs pest control more often. Air conditioning worked great ! Very close to route 13 , can hear trucks all hours of the night . Furniture was very comfortable and everything reclined with electric push buttons , which was awesome ! Nice Island Bar with stools, that we enjoyed hanging out at eating and drinking coffee. Had tons of k-cups and creamers and different other supplies. Property owner had great communication and easy check in and out . Didn’t like taking garbage and recycling a mile down the road to the deposit area . Should be part of the cleaning fee.
We enjoyed our stay.
Great house, super clean inside. We had everything we needed for a great stay!! Will definitely come back again! Got crabs up the road at A1 seafood and they were outstanding! We didn't want to leave.
Everything is great, but has an ant problem.
Location works for us, and the fact that it is pet friendly.
The house is nice , renovated inside has a nice sofa, kitchen with basic tools that you need for cooking. Bedrooms has new linens and pillows are comfy. It’s would be nice to stay at the back porch if it’s screened! Nevertheless it’s good to leave your wet stuff there after swimming. Front door should have a cover or railings at least it’s dangerous if you have children. The wifi is a pain! Overall our stay is good we are all adults so we managed just fine,
Good
Great little cottage, like new inside, about one minute to Kiptopeke State Park. Close to Cape Charles for excellent restaurants.
It was wonderful. We definitely book it again. The owner is very accommodating and easy to deal with. Thank you!!!
Great location walking distance to state park. Nicely decorated, higher end finishes and furnishings. Very convenient to have washer and dryer on site.
We loved the house, but really enjoyed sitting on the porch. Thank you for being pet friendly!
The cottage was nicely furnished and well equipped. The space was nice and we appreciated that it was dog friendly. For our stay the Wi-Fi was not operational, which was a bit of an inconvenience. But the owner was apologetic about the inconvenience It was likely a seasonal thing, but we did have to chase a few stink bugs out of the house during our stay. The owner was quick to communicate with us and we found check-in and departure easy enough. Renters are required to take trash to a regional center which a a bit of a drive from the cottage with limited hours that do not support a Sunday morning departure. We actually brought our trash home with us to discard, since there was no other option. Overall this was a good space with an open floor plan and we enjoyed our stay!
Everything was very nice. House equipped with everything you could need. Friendly host who got right back with answers.
The decor/ layout of the house was charming. The rooms adorable. The bed sheets themselves were clean, along with having fresh towels. The kitchen was well stocked, and the washer and dryer worked well. But that's where the positives end. There was free wifi advertised, with the password posted on the refrigerator. But it does not exist at the house. The door hinges had bizarre grease on them. Wasp nests all around porch/cobwebs. And the worst yet, ANTS! Sugar ants all over the kitchen/main living area/bathroom/bedrooms. We came back the first day from the beach, ants were all over our pizza in the pizza box. all over fresh tomatoes. We did not leave crumbs or open packages of food laying around. We were told by the owner initially that food cannot be left out, but must be sealed in containers. This was not stated in the posting. We started keeping all our food in the refrigerator, and then discovered that the ants were in the bathroom, crawling in our box of hygienic items/toothbrushes. My final straw was when ants were in my children's beds. Owner did not believe us initially, but on day 3, he sent an exterminator out. I really wanted to love this experience. although the owner was dismissive at first, he did make it right in the end, but I will not be staying here again. Do not recommend.
Excellent only downfall is low shower pressure
We booked this property based on its close proximity to the park and the accessibility to park our boat on the property. House was clean and well equipped. Would rent again.
Great spot, close to the state park, easy drive to Cape Charles pet friendly and lovely to have a washer dryer
This property was clean, stocked with all the essential items, and within biking distance to Kiptopeke State park. It met our needs perfectly.
