Branchport, New York
The newly renovated Jepsen Heritage Cottage, is located off State Rt. 54A at (formerly 42) 420 Crescent Beach Dr, at the northern end of the West branch of Keuka Lake about 1.5 miles from Branckport and 10 miles from Penn Yan. It is in a quiet family community with both seasonal cottages and year-round homes.
Guests of the cottage will enjoy an unobstructed, picturesque view of the western branch of Keuka Lake from a 2012 rebuilt enclosed porch. This includes a view of Bluff Point and the eastern branch which is nearly 10 miles away. 2017 brought a rebuild of the entrance porch and bathroom areas.
The cottage is situated on a level location from the 4 car parking area on the north, to the cottage, and then gently slopes to the water's edge. There are two small steps to the north entrance and a 2 step entrance to a newly constructed outside deck, on the the west.
The 55 - foot frontage is a fine-pebble beach which provides easy
access to shallow water. This area is perfect for families who desire wading or swimming, or just relaxing with a good book.
The water depth increases very gradually, from approximately 24" at the end of the dock to 4' deep at 130 feet from shore. The buoys mark the drop off to the deeper waters of the lake and are a favorite spot for fishermen from around the world.
Inside the buoys s a no-wake zone, giving safe swimming and recreation for families.

This summer home is located close to the lake shore and it is level. It is a very warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. It was peaceful and just what we needed. We would definitely stay there again!
If you're looking to just travel the area, this is an ok place to stay. Very dusty in hard to reach areas that did not agree with my allergies, but this is understandable. Many notes left telling you what you can and cannot do. If you're looking to relax and spend most of your time at the house, my suggestion would be to look elsewhere. Immediately after entering the rental we had the unfortunate meeting with the couple next door, in which we learned very quickly the gentleman would constantly harass us until the end of our trip. Due to the yards being connected and small, there is little room to accompany a group of 5 at the fire pit. Setting up an extra camping chair and a hammock on each side, we were quickly told about the leg of the camping chair being on his property. We respectfully moved the camping chair and apologized as the property line is not very clear and a lot of outside furniture spread througout making it more confusing. During our trip it was very hot and sunny so we attempted to set up shade over the chairs and again were quickly told about the leg of the canopy. Then told he had a camera and we would be watched. We left the home and traveled to stay away. Something we did not want to do, but felt forced. When arriving back, our canopy has been taken down. The confrontations would continue day to day, nitpicking everything. Needless to say, we stayed away from the property as much as possible. We left quickly and early our last day
Retreat from the rat race of life: •sit and read •row a boat •walk a trail •jump in a lake •enjoy some local vineyards
Everything was as I hoped. The house feels old fashioned, but with a new kitchen and bathroom and great accessibility for my sister-in-law, who was recovering from hip surgery. Surprise bonuses were the super nice neighbors and the wildlife refuge adjacent to the neighborhood, that you could explore by boat or on foot.
It was an excellent place to stay on the lake, you couldn’t get any closer unless you were in the lake! Beautiful views, beautiful rainbows! Very relaxing, refreshing. The hosts/owners were very easy to communicate with, very informative, helpful and pleasant. Very nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors , an easy walk about. An excellent location for kayaks, paddle boards, and boats and other watercraft. We would highly recommend Jepsen Cottage, directly on Lake Keuka!
Beautiful Cottage in the Branchport area of Keuka Lake. Very centrally located with quick access to Penn Yan and Wineries on both East and West Side of Keuka Lake. The Sunsets are Magnificent and all the neighbors are friendly. Have to give a shout-out to the Olney Place for the quality of lunch fare, and had a chance meeting with the Icon Hermann J. Wiemer in a wine shop in Penn Yan. Loved my stay in this beautiful cottage and highly recommend Keuka Lake for it’s laidback Vibe ??
The property was beautiful, the view was amazing and the neighbors were very nice and helpful. It is an excellent location for kayaking, checking out the local wineries or just relaxing by the water
we had a very good time and love the lake. The place we stayed was great
Very easy to rent. Beautiful location. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a great time at the lake house . We took my brother who uses a walker to get around . The property was level and safe for my brother to get around . We definitely want to come back next year !!
This cottage was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my family. Right on the lake, we walked out of our room right to the dock to swim and fish. The owners were great with communications and ensured a smooth stay. Thanks so much for sharing your home!
Chris & Joan's place is enchanting. It was exactly what I needed to relax and feel rejuvenated. I've traveled the world, and this was one of my favorite places to stay. On the first night, we watched shooting stars from the dock. On the second night, we had a bonfire next to the water. Everyone slept well and was comfortable. This spot is a gem! I highly recommend this beautiful place. Thanks, Chris & Joan!
Great cottage on the water with a beautiful view down the west branch of Keuka. Comfortable beds and futon. Easy water access for your bass boat or jet skis at the Branchport park next door and walk your kayaks in right at the cottage. Beautiful, spacious, updated bathroom.
