Casey Cottage is tucked into the woods, yet close to it all! Babbling hot tub, easy easy access, pets allowed (with fee), fireplace, large screened in porch, surrounded by noisy creeks. Note: NO internet and poor cell service! NO A/C.
A true disconnect for peace and relaxation.

Whether you are looking for a cozy cottage to unwind after an adventurous day outdoors or you want peaceful privacy and relaxation, Casey Cottage is ideally located between Bryson City, Tsali, Lake Fontana, and the Nantahala Outdoor Center.

Inside the cottage you will find a well appointed kitchen with everything you need to prepare and serve your meals. The dining table has seating for 4 to enjoy your home cooked meals.

Both bedrooms have recently been updated with soft, fluffy bedding! The master has a thick memory foam. All mattresses have hypoallergenic and bedbug protective covers on them, so you can sleep with peace of mind.

In the living room, the fireplace is the focal point, ready for you to enjoy at the touch of a button. It is open and spacious with a large leather sofa and a rocker easily allowing a group of 4 to relax or for a couple to cuddle. A large picture window looks out into the field where deer and wild turkey can often be spotted and makes for an absolute magical scene when the snow falls! The flat screen TV has a DVD player and ever-growing collection of movies. A guest favorite is the record player with a collection of classics with a few surprises.

There are several different outdoor spaces. The front porch, the screened in porch, the back patio where the hot tub is, and the fire pit area.

Access to the retreat is easy. It's located a little over 2 miled off the main highway but away from the road noise for peace and quiet. The road is not narrow or steep, all cars can access the house easily.

The house was spectacular!! Very clean and welcoming. Loved the hot tub. The host was phenomenal!! He communicated the whole time, and made sure our time was enjoyable and we had what we needed. If I’m ever down this way again I will definitely stay with them again. From the moment I booked this the host has been above and beyond many other hosts. Offering things to do in area, available if we needed anything from booking until we checked out. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who may be traveling to the mountains!!

Oh we fell in love with the Cabin immediately, the location is great, and the drive to the cabin just GORGEOUS with Scottish Highland cows and beautiful Lucy green rolling fields to look at with a pristine little mountain creek along the way. The mimosa tree by the house was in FULL bloom, along with the Hibiscus, hosta and day lily blooms creating a gorgeous backdrop for the cabin! We especially enjoyed watching the fireflies from the hot tub in the evening. This location is central to Tsali, NOC and Bryson city with is perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities. And after all the exciting stuff, a drive up Needmore road to check out the swinging bridge over the Tuckaseegee at sunset is also perfect. The hot tub and kitchen worked well, the record player was great and some of the lively surprises in the decor warmed our hearts. The beds were comfortable, although I’m glad that I didn’t have to share the double bed with anyone. Be aware if you are a COUPLE over 6’ tall and 200 pounds, the bed might seem a tad small.

Presented on VRBO as a 5+ rating. Really just a 1-2 rating. Dust Cobwebs and yes... Spiders. It just smelled old Seemed like a 40 year old fisning cabin.

We loved our stay at this cabin! The hot tub was a real treat! I deducted one star due to the cleanliness of the property. When we arrived, there were dead bugs and twigs/leaves in the master bed. We live in the woods ourselves, so we know these things happen, but it was as if the bedding hadnt been changed before being made. There were no extra linens so i swept the bed off with a clean, dry towel. We also ran out of bath towels on day 2 so I washed a load but discovered that the dryer does not work. This cabin is charming and fun to stay in, but could use a few small things to make it more practical/enjoyable. bedding had not been changed

Nice place, well stocked with spices and cooking equipment. Really nice screened in porch and outdoor fire pit so you can enjoy the outdoors rain or shine. Had items for babies…we are empty nesters with grown kids but thought that was very thoughtful of the guest to have that available. Cell service is very limited but that is typical in the NC mountains. Can get text messages and some internet just beyond the fire pit area so in a pinch there is that. Many movie selections for rainy day. Can tell the place is well maintained and cared for. Looks like it has been recently remodeled last 10 years at the most. We have kids working at NOC and it is only a 15 min drive away. 20 min max from Bryson City. This may be our “go to” place while visiting our kids.

We had a great time on the property and in the area. It’s a quick easy drive to Bryson City and GSMNP. Cozy home with all you might need and hot tub, fire pit, games, books, DVDs.
