A wonderful old house in the perfect location. We had a small mix of friends and family, adults and kids, and loved shopping and dining our way through downtown Fredericksburg just before Xmas. The park with all its lights is just a block away. Downtown shops and restaurants less than a 5 minute walk. Wonderful and comfortable house. We will be back!
Fantastic house with plenty of accommodations to suite the entire family. We will definitely return.
Our group loved the atmosphere of the historic home. The house was charming and unique. It has real character, but also, some quirks due to its age. The house is little squeaky and not in perfect shape, but that is because of the age of the home. Guests should know they can communicate any questions or concerns to the company and receive quick response! Thanks for a great time!
This house worked pretty perfectly for a large multi-generational family visit. The 5 bedrooms gave everyone private sleeping space but there were plenty of common space to share and visit in. From breakfast and coffee around the dining table, to wine and cards under the Arbor, to chatting in the living room, the house was a perfect base for spending time in as well as making it easy to walk to shops/restaurants and only a short drive out to wineries/distilleries and other sites!
Had an awesome Mother’s Day weekend in this house, in Fredrickberg! Cozy, well decorated house. Comfortable beds. House was clean, yard kept. Great location, within walking distance from all the fun!
The house was warm and inviting, making you feel like a stay at Grandma’s house. We will be coming back again!
The location is wonderful. The drive up to the property is very disappointing!!!!! The yard had not been mowed in over a month. Debris from the storm several weeks ago was everywhere. All flower beds have weeds no flowers which I understand with the heat needs to be weeded. Giant cobwebs on the porch, the air conditioner struggles in the afternoon to keep up with the heat. The vintage single pane windows offer no support in the heat. The drip coffee maker does not work and the Kureg had a clog in the supply line and was not functioning on the last day. Luckily one person brought her own coffee pot as b n b's don't have functioning coffee makers, so we had one. The mattress upstairs was concave and the hump in the middle looked like a dead body. No one slept there so we doubled up in other rooms. The couches downstairs are vintage and cute but you almost fall through the springs. It is very charming and close in which was nice to meet everyone's needs but it is overpriced for what you get. I would look elsewhere.
I booked this place for my bachelorette trip and was excited for a cute historic house. There were 8 of us and were extremely disappointed that one shower was not in a good condition. It was leaking, there was mold, and the bath wash in the bathroom came out in clumps and was gross. I contacted the guest contact and she just said it was on their maintenance schedule. We should have been told that beforehand if so. The picture of the bathroom on the property listing is not accurate and the shower rod was even broken and manually taped back together. Description was misleading with regard to the condition of the house, specifically the one bathroom. The house is very quaint and has a good location near downtown. It had plenty of space to sleep and has that old time charm to it. But for a large group and with this Texas heat, you need two good working showers at a minimum. One bathroom not being usable was a major inconvenience and defeated the purpose of renting a house for our group. We lost valuable time, adjusting with the one usable bathroom. We are disappointed and I hope the owner/manager will compensate us for the misleading representation.
This property was in a prime location - walkable to the main street and all the shopping and restaurants. The house is spacious and comfortable for a larger group. The beds were comfortable and the multiple living rooms allowed our larger group to gather or spread out.
Great, comfy beds! Very big sitting area for us all to visit and drink coffee. Walking distance to down town. Our mom was celebrating her 74th birthday and she loved it!
We enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for our guests. The location was perfect for heading to Main Street, the museum and the wineries. We were able to relax and enjoy time at the house, where it was quiet.
Cute Victorian with German influences, well supplied in kitchen. Plenty of space to visit and close to Main Street, but quiet and private. Great support from management team. Comfy beds...great getaway spot
This historical gem is very amazing. We are in the hill country serval times a year and we love this house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is so pretty and the location is perfect! We would definitely recommend staying here.
This home was comfortable and had plenty of space for our group of 6. Everyone had their own bed, and there was so much common space for us to spread out in the house. We had every amenity we needed. Our weekend was cold and rainy, but we stayed warm here in this home. We spent the day out, and spent our evening watching movies and playing cards around the dining room table. I definitely recommend this property.
We celebrated our Bride to be, we did a wine tour and they picked us up at the property and had us back in time for shopping and dinner. It’s right off the Main Street, with lots of food and shopping options. The house is set up beautifully, with plenty of space for our 10 guests as well as bringing in the charm of Fredericksburg. We are big antique lovers and the home has plenty!
Your place was awesome!!! Great walking distance to everything is a plus Thanks again Life community church Laporte Tx
The house was large with 5 bedrooms and accommodated our large group, however we were very disappointed in the house. Upon arriving, a plumber was working trying to get the water running. He was able to get us water on but this should have been done before our arrival. The house was not clean. There were cobwebs in several of the rooms and the large living area had dead bugs on the end tables and on the floor. We found multiple bugs crawling on the blinds and some on the floor. The smoke detectors were not working in all the rooms. This is a code violation. There were multiple light bulbs burned out. We had trouble getting the TVs to work. I called and someone did come out and get a couple of them to come on. However, the cables were not working on the TVs upstairs and the representative told me that was out of her control to get that fixed. The coffee pot did not work and was extremely dirty. There was a Keurig that we were able to use. The outside tables were very dirty and we had to clean them off before we could sit out side. I understand that this is a historical home and very old but it should be cleaned and everything should be working.
My family and our friends stayed and the house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of comfortable beds and rooms for everyone and just a block off of main street and we were able to walk to restaurants and bars. The 5 bedrooms was a huge plus!
Great place to stay during our weekend vacation to Fredericksburg. Very charming home. Walking distance to Main Street was great. The only con to the stay was that the patio was extremely dirty. The cushions were a mess with bird droppings so we were not all able to sit out back unless we scrubbed the table and picked the few decent cushened chairs for seating. The cushions should be cleaned regularly if guest are to enjoy the outside space.
