Stayed Apr 7, 2024The house was clean with a comfortable bed. It has a nice yard that needs some maintenance. Nice front porch. Near grocery store and downtown shopping/dining. Responsive property management.

Stayed Dec 29, 2025Cute rustic farmhouse vibe, and very clean. It lacked some easy to fix items. The front door window looks right into the bedroom to the bed - it needs a curtain. We taped up some paper for privacy. The bathroom has no vent fan, and that would be OK but the window has no screen so you can't leave it open. A functional can opener would be nice, as would some dish cloths & paper towels. There were only a few hangers in the closet, and for 2 people staying 4 nights it was totally insufficient. There needs to be a small chest of drawers for small travel items (socks, underwear etc). I think if the owner spent a week vacationing there while cooking & cleaning up he would quickly see and fix the deficiencies. I have stayed at other VRBOs and B&Bs, and this one needs a little help.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025Loved the house! This quaint gem is Fredericksburg perfection. The owner did a lovely job restoring and furnishing it. The management company, however, needs to step-up their game a little. We were served spoilt creamer, the tv reception wasn't happening, and we were denied checking in a mere fifteen minutes early. To top it off, the sprinkler system was set to come on around 8:30am, right during our checkout and on the front path.

Stayed Jul 22, 2025This house was absolutely lovely. It’s the sweetest little cottage with plenty of room for 2 people. If you love older houses with a great outdoor area and lots of character, you’ll love this place. It’s well taken care of and all the plants and flowers outside make it feel incredibly homey. We didn’t cook while we were there but the kitchen was well stocked. It had a coffee pot and even stocked with coffee, creamer and sugar! The property manager was super quick to respond to anything we needed and all the info was super helpful. We even got the privilege of meeting the owner who is the sweetest woman ever. She was coming over to watch the flowers as we were walking in and you could tell she put a lot of love into this house. We’ll definitely be coming back if we can.

Stayed Sep 25, 2024The stay was interesting if you want a back to basics cottage. Lots of antique and period items here along with Historic character of the cottage. The noise level iis not coducive to one who is a light sleeper. The adjacent Highway and intersection provide a constant stream of accelerating traffic which is noticibly loud until late night and beginning once again early am.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We needed a place to escape from the heat of Houston and found this place. It was peaceful and quiet, but not far from anything. We appreciated having washer and dryer in-house. If we make it back, we would stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed two nights at Cosmos Cottage over a rainy weekend, and had a wonderful stay. The cottage does have a bit of noise from a nearby major road, the patter of rain on the roof, and the creaking floorboards, all which added to the charm of the place. The location is very convenient to downtown Fredricksburg, and was within walking distance of the Sunset Grill (which will soon be moving to E. Live Oak Dr.). We played cards with friends at the table in the front room and relaxed on the porch a few times. I recommend this cottage for couple who want a little getaway to enjoy the wine country and won't mind the sounds of a small, tourist town.

Stayed Apr 7, 2024This small old farmhouse is conveniently located close to downtown. It is within walking distance to Walgreens and the HEB. The bed was comfortable, and the accommodations were clean. The pictures showed a Keurig coffee maker but it turned out to be a Mr Coffee drip machine.

Stayed Mar 31, 2024We loved our stay. The house was clean, well-appointed with all the amenities we could ask for, and perfect for our needs. As a bonus, it was ideally-suited; an easy walk from downtown, and the HEB grocery store was just a couple blocks away. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Feb 19, 2024My mom and I took my daughter to Fredericksburg for a girls trip and this location was wonderful. There was a large yard and the house was in a great location. Quick drive to the Main Street and the H‑E‑B. Lost Draw Cellars was easily walking distance.
