Hale Lo'i Cottage: Luxury + Convenience in Poipu

This is a wonderful property. The only problem that we had was finding it in the dark. There are no street lights and the address is faint and high on the side of the house. Most of the other houses on the cul-de-sac had addresses at street level at the edge of the driveways. We finally had to knock at a neighbor's door and they were kind enough to help us find it after searching with their flashlight .

We love, loved our stay here!! The Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, the property was clean, quiet, private and in close proximity to everything. The neighborhood was nice and quiet as well. We loved that the property host provided beach chairs and a cooler for our use. The outdoor shower was unique! The only thing we were disappointed in was not having an outdoor spot to sit and enjoy the weather. Thank you so much!

Reviewer Comments: A wonderful getaway - I spent a week on Kauai with my family - son, daughter and 4 grandkids and then moved to the cottage by myself when they left. It was perfect for me - well located - with just enough space and a quiet neighborhood. The amenities were as described - one note is there is no access to outdoor space to lounge outside the cottage though the neighborhood is excellent for walking around and the shops are nearby. It was clean - great ambience entering - music on - a few treats - notebook of suggested activities. The property management was prompt when texted and helpful when needed. I would recommend the cottage if solo or for a couple.

The best we have stayed at. Quiet, super clean, multi-million-dollar neighborhood. Less than a mile to the beach, yet no drunken people ruining your vacation. Thanks again!

The concierge team was so helpful when it came to booking excursions and even an in-home massage!! The location is perfect! The neighborhood is safe, clean and perfect to live short or long term. The home was clean and offered everything we needed for a week stay. We highly recommend using the provided beach chairs, driving 1 min to Poipu beach for the sunset, and watching the sea turtles come right to you!The outdoor shower and comfortable bed are two notable benefits to booking here! We celebrated the 50th anniversary of our first date at the Hale Lo’i Cottage. It was a great location and lodging for a couple for the last week of a month in Hawaii. The cottage is perfect for a couple with ample space, storage and amenities. Great quiet neighborhood location walkable to dining and shopping options. A variety of nice beaches within a few minutes drive among many other area attractions. Wailani Kauai was a very responsive rental agency that was very welcoming and helpful beyond the booking.

We absolutely loved the cottage. It was exactly as advertised. It was close to everything.

The cottage was perfect for the two of us on our honeymoon! Amenities were great (washer/dryer was extremely useful). Bathroom was also nice—the shower was noteworthy. Everything was well stocked from welcome gifts and wine openers to utensils and coffee. The bed was a little finicky, hut we ended up taking off the foam topper which helped a lot. Prime location too! Poipu and Kōloa are awesome places to be on the island!!!

Everything about this property was perfect for honeymoon lodging: very clean and organized, spacious for a couple, convenient amenities (including full sized bath products for guests to use that smell and feel great!), very cute and quiet neighborhood, comfortable furniture, and very quick responses from the owner. We were always in the loop if something happened on the property (they let us know their AC units were inoperable, so they put portable AC units in the bedroom and living room that worked just as good). When we arrived, we even received some treats as a welcome gift for our honeymoon. Lots of shops, beaches, restaurants, and activities nearby as well. I wouldn’t have stayed anywhere else. We will definitely recommend this spot to anyone staying in the Poipu area, and we will surely be back as well!
