Gamekeeper's Cottage is a welcoming stone cottage in the hamlet of Chillingham, near the castle. The cottage has a double room and a twin room, a family bathroom on the ground floor, a kitchen, dining room with woodburning stove and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking for two cars, a shared, enclosed front lawned garden with furniture and afurther enclosed, private, lawned garden area to the rear with a storage shed. Gamekeeper's Cottage makes an ideal base for enjoying both the inland beauty of the Cheviots and the stunning Heritage coastline.

Amenities: Electric heaters with woodburning stoves. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, ,WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter packs for stoves inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 1 car. Shared, enclosed front lawned garden with furniture. Rear enclosed, private, lawned garden area and storage shed. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pubs 1.5 miles. Note: Due to the nearby brook, children should be supervised at all times. Note: The property is an historic workers cottage dating back to 1836 (so not a modern property) and has a steep stairway to the bedrooms and step between kitchen and dining room. It is not recommended for people and pets with limited mobility. Bus service 4x per day Monday-Saturday to Alnwick and Wooler. Chillingham village is served by a private water supply, although it is regularly tested and drunk by the locals but guests may like to boil the water or bring their own if they would prefer.
