Clean, Cozy cottage with a close walk to the beach. Amenities: Serta pillow top beds, Lazyboy Gel mattress pull outs. Large flatscreen TV, Fast internet, stocked kitchen, stackable washer/ dryer. Beautiful deck with grill & firepit. Super Clean!
This cottage was renovated well, very comfortable and had everything you might need (except maybe bug spray!) We enjoyed our stay - sat in the chairs to visit when we arrived, visited the fruit stand, the beach and St. Joes, all near by. Our only concern was that the 2nd bed is not a bed. The owners have moved one of the pull out couches to the downstairs space. The living room is lovely for hanging out and visiting. We really enjoyed everything else about the house. However, if we had known there was no 2nd bed we would have picked a different place. The owners were very responsive to questions and the house is super clean. (There was even plastic wrap for our leftovers!)
Enjoyed the quiet wooded setting.
It was such an amazing experience ? Very clean beautiful cottage with lots to do!
Attention to detail was outstanding! Owner clearly takes a lot of pride in good work and thinking of your every need. Great location between St. Joseph and South Haven. We found St Joe to be more easily accessible btw the two. The beach is right at the top of the street and really nice. If you like quiet, secluded, out of the mix but close to it... this is a fit for you. Highly recommend.
Beautiful home and property, check in was easy, area was great. 2 min to the beach. My teens had a great time. The outdoor shower and watching the owls at night were an added bonus!
This beach cottage was so beautifully remodeled in such a peaceful location in the woods within walking distance to the beach. We enjoyed relaxing on the back deck facing the woods and used the fire pit one night. The location was great being both secluded but within 15-20 minutes of two great beach towns. We also really appreciated all the board games that were provided. There were just a few things about the house that were inconvenient. We couldn’t find space to put our pantry/dry food items in the kitchen and there was no space to store suitcases or clothes in the bedroom. Also, the bedroom and basement TVs were not usable. They weren’t smart tv’s/ didn’t have a Roku or any way to use streaming services or even a dvd player. The basement pull out sofa was pretty comfortable but the pull out sofa in the living room had a bar that made it very uncomfortable. We also used the grill one night but couldn’t find grilling utensils. All in all, we still enjoyed our stay enough to consider coming back for our next trip to Michigan!
This cottage is impeccable! They have everything you could ever need or want. Walking distance to a beautiful park and beach on Lake Michigan. Highly recommend!
Very nice little cottage. Laid out nicelyn on the smaller solide but laid out where you don't feel cramped even with a family of 4. Perfect getaway spot very close to Lake Michigan. We had an awesome time!
What an adorable and comfortable little house! Everything was setup wonderfully and we were made to feel very welcome. We loved how close it was to Hagar Beach which was incredible. And it was an easy trip into town to get food and explore. We will definitely be back next year.
Lovely place, view of forest and can hear Lake Michigan nearby, nicely decorated and easy to relax there.
My wife and I had an awesome experience. Cabin was great and had everything needed for a stay. We would recommend it and would love to go back.
Nestled in a small quaint gravel road neighborhood, this was a gem! It looks small from the road but once your inside it does feel bigger. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute clean cottage. It has clean modern well appointed beachy decor and the charm of the white beach panel walls was ? Kitchen: stocked with everything we needed to cook. I would suggest kitchen shears as it was the only thing I felt I needed that wasn't there. We stored most of our food in the fridge bc the kitchen is smaller, but I just loved the charm of it so it really didn't detract for me. The extra extra deep sink was nice! We ended up not walking to the public beach because there was a busy road to cross and we would have to leave our wagon at the top of the stair way. Stairs were easy to navigate and not steep. My kids loved finding rocks and riding the waves with intertubes. Plenty of space and didn't feel overly crowded during the day (go early for best parking spots). We found a clay area there and kids had a blast climbing a huge hill up to the park. The beach/park does allow dogs so keep that in mind, we love animals so we were ok with that. ? Owners were so great allowing an early check-in and also staying in great communication during our stay. The outdoor shower was a bonus and we never ran out of hot water after we all showered. The A/C worked like a gem and kept us all cool in the heat. Our boys loved their little bedroom down the spiral staircase that you can also get to via the deck if the spiral stairs are too steep. The deck was nice but wear/bring bug spray as the woods are right behind the cottage, a cute creek runs in the ravine. The grill was a little smaller but cooked our food very well! Beds were comfortable, not overly soft, towels were new and white, sheets clean and soft, and furniture was high quality and soft. The extra throw blankets provided were a plus! The master bedroom has industrial style open shelves and hangers for your items and that was perfect instead of a closet. I brought extra hangers which was good. Its door is right off the kitchen and was hard to latch shut but our kids were downstairs so that didnt bother us. We loved the board games at the top of the stairs such a great rainy day or nighttime activity for the kids and adults. Wifi worked great! TVs ? A full length mirror might be nice somewhere. I stepped on the shower ledge to approve my outfit selection in the bathroom vanity mirror. ? Ty! ?
House was clean, well stocked, and everything we needed was there! Furnishings and decorations are inviting. Great deck. Games, movies, coloring books, Legos. Lots of things to keep kids busy if it's a rainy day. Would definitely stay here again!
The cottage is very clean & thoughtfully decorated. The decks and views to the ravine in back are lovely. It is about a 1/2 mile from Hagar Beach which is very nice but lots of steps. We enjoyed going to South Haven & St. Joseph for the beach and fireworks. We had everything we needed and more as far as kitchen and paper supplies. Although it clearly states there is a spiral staircase, it is a challenge to navigate. The outdoor shower was fun. The addition of a 1/2 bath on the lower level would be a real plus. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.
