Ferndale Cottage on Private 20 Acre Farm!

Great place to relax for a few days, owners are very helpful and friendly, we were in a large rv, they took us to the local grocery store one day, farm animals on the property are fun to watch especially at feeding time, awesome place will definitely return, house is great, wood floors throughout, nice warm heat with a fireplace in the living room, comfy bed with thick comforters, plenty of windows with good views, perfect stay!!

We arrived on a Sunday to this beautiful little cottage with lots of open space and lots and lots of animals to visit. The people that work on the farm and the owners of the farm were so delightful and kind, letting us wander the property and feed all the animals. There were two donkeys, a Llama, two adorable goats, geese, ducks and chickens!! It was incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. The beds were soft and cozy. The house had everything we needed that made our stay memorable. We were also very close (1.5 hrs) to Vancouver, BC for a day trip. 10/10 Would Recommend!!

We came to the area to visit family and enjoyed the historic farmhouse. The place had everything we needed. We enjoyed all of the farm animals and country setting. It was very comfortable and relaxing. We definitely would stay again.

It is so spacious! Don't let the inviting exterior fool you. large rooms throughout. Farmhouse decorations so warm and welcoming. It had everything we needed. If there is one downfall it's that it only has one bathroom. Could use a bigger sign for all the addresses. We came in at night and it was a challenge to find the driveway. I would rent this property again. All the animals were a plus too!

Very nice property and a great place to stay and then explore the County, Cascades and Vancouver BC. Only comment would be to clean the patio area in the back so it was clean to use.

We enjoyed this property. Quiet, Farm animals were a plus. Clean, beds comfy, kitchen stocked with essentials. Love it! Will be back. No issues.

I’m afraid to review this awesome property because I want it available when I need it! This was our second stay here for 8 nights. It is the right amount of rustic, modern, cozy and vintage. Must love animals. You will hear the geeseand experience other animals during your stay. It is a fully functional no kill animal refuge and and caretaker Richard and his wife are frequently around to answer questions. We now know how to scare aware massive Eagles looking for a duck lunch. The beds are comfy, the linens soft and the entire house is exceptionally clean. Great location minutes from Hwy 5 and cute downtown Ferndale. Thank you Bev and Joe for sharing this homeAway fromHome???❤️

Absolutely loved this little home on the farm. Had plenty of privacy, the owners weren’t in our bubble at all. The beds were so comfortable, everything was clean, plenty of towels. I think an upgraded coffee pot would be nice, it was a slooow trickle. Keurig would be even better. And a way to store leftovers - foil, saran wrap, tupperware, etc. There was none and that’s a pain to deal with on vacation. But highly recommend this place. The ducks and chickens were a funny little bonus for non-farm people. :)

The cottage is conveniently located and quiet. The farm animals are fun. It’s large enough to spread out but still cozy.
