Stayed Jun 13, 2025Beautiful, historic cottage thoughtfully modernized with all modcons - including decent water pressure! This two bedroom, two bathroom perfectly suited my family of four adults. V close walking distance to shopping, dining, drinking in the heart of Burford.

Stayed Jan 1, 1This is our second Dec stay at Farthingdales cottage, On arrival it was lovely to see the real Christmas tree in situ and the light on for us. Our only criticism is that the main bedroom is very cold, the radiator doesn't give out much heat. It was the same last year. The window would benefit from a shutter or blind as very cool and draughty. It did affect our enjoyment

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a wonderful few days retreat. Farthingdales had everything we could need. Excellent facilities. Cosy and comfortable. Location was, just off the high street but close that it was so easy to pop out for provisions. Excellent all round. Would love to come back.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We stayed at Farthingdales last year too and will definitely be back for a third time. Ideally situated in the lovely town of Burford and a stones throw from the busy High Street, the actual road is very quiet with a lovely church at the end of the cul-de-sac. Burford is full of shops and eateries, and the local people are genuinely friendly which reflects onto the tourists. It has such a ‘feel good’ vibe, in my opinion. Easy to park outside the house or small car park not far away. Also, well situated for the Cotswolds. Most other villages and tourist attractions, are not that far away.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We were three adults staying for a week, and we had plenty of space and everything we needed. The house has a few quirks but was clean and comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped and both bathrooms very functional. We were fortunate to have very sunny and hot weather, so ceiling fans in the bedrooms would have been a real plus. The garden is small but great for an evening drink or relaxing in the sun, with a little bit of TLC it could become a true gem.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Our second visit to Farthingdales in beautiful weather following our stay over Christmas. We were hoping to go back later again this year but it was booked. Such a fabulous cottage in terms of layout, cleanliness and location - cannot recommend this highly enough. If this is free, book it!

Stayed Jan 1, 1Farthingales is a beautiful cottage and we have a fantastic stay over the weekend for our friends wedding. Its proximity to the high street is perfect and the little garden in the back was an extra treat with the good weather we had. The setup in the cottage was extremely well thought out and has everything you could possibly need, even had milk in the fridge for our arrival! I would recommend Farthingales to all my friends. Was a perfect stay for 4 people.

Stayed Dec 30, 2024My cousin and I had a lovely stay in Farthingdales! There was a problem with the fridge when we arrived which got sorted in a timely manner on New Years Eve. Thanks to all who made that happen!

Stayed Jan 1, 1We were delighted to arrive at Farthingdales to be welcomed with a wreathe on the door and a lovely real Christmas tree. The property was very attractive and comfortable. A guide to the working of the microwave and coffee machine would have been helpful. Also sturdy heat resistant gloves for handling the logs/fire. The main bedroom was cold and the radiator didn't seem to be working? Otherwise we really liked it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We used this as a cottage for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in the morning of my wedding. Perfect communal space and everything was furnished beautifully.
