Our few days away at the cottage were so refreshing, the isolation is unbeatable. The cottage was dated as can be seen on the photos but that's why I chose it it's oldie worldi and exactly what I wanted and expected from the listing. The beds were so comfortable and the cottage was warm we can't think of anything missing at all.we did some walks saw great wildlife and barely saw a person Really sad to leave it was just so lovely would love to come back in summer

Angelika was a super thoughtful, attentive & courteous host. The property was superb too - very remote, unfussy but with everything you could need. We had a great stay & just wished it could have been longer.

An absolute gem of a property in the Welsh countryside. A great location (although local roads can be a bit dodgy!). The house has everything you need for a short break, or longer, and the host is extremely helpful and communication was perfect, ensuring everything was ok for us. There is plenty to do in the local area and we did quite a bit of exploring. The host recommended the local pub/restaurant and what a great suggestion as the food was excellent. There is a fire pit in the garden and it was nice to sit around the fire at night chatting. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area and we look forward to revisiting.

The house is large, the bedrooms are large and cosy. It is a peaceful location, very secluded. The children and dog enjoyed the secure grounds, and firepit. The kids enjoyed the acess to Sky TV and youtube. The weather was hot, but the house remained cool and comfortable. The host rang us on arrival to ensure that we were happy, which was a very nice touch, and made us feel very welcome. The local pub (Radnorshire Arms) does good quality reasonably priced food, and specials on a Tuesday, its gets busy, you need to book.

We enjoyed our stay, the cottage is very spacious, full of character and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The grounds and setting are gorgeous, our dog loved playing in the very large secure garden and enjoyed lovely walks in the surrounding area. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and Angelica was a very attentive host.

We loved the remote location; we didn't have to shush the kids and they loved the outdoor space. The access to different countryside walks and views from the cottage itself was great, because we do a lot of walking and it's nice to just step out and go (lots of roaming sheep and horses to watch). Within a half hour/40 min drive were several places worth visiting, including Clun, Powis Castle, Knighton, and Welshpool (esp the Light Railway). Meal at nearby Radnorshire Arms was lush, while kitchen at cottage was well outfitted (owner happily received feedback on a couple of pans that housekeeping had not adequately cleaned). All in all great space and atmosphere--kids can't wait to come back.

We stayed over Christmas and enjoyed our stay here a lot. Loved the quirky furniture, eclectic art and open fire.. We saw a fox cub and heard owls. The sunrise was breathtaking. The kitchen has everything you could need. We appreciated the heating being on as we arrived on a chilly late afternoon. The host is lovely and can recommend this place whole heartedly.

Bought mum to Wales to visit her friend, well worth the half hour drive to Newtown each day as no need to go anywhere else. Enough grounds to exercise dogs and nothing else to do but relax and take in the stunning views.

We enjoyed our stay at Cefn Pawl. The location is great, quiet and peaceful. The cottage is rustic but with mod cons. The WiFi is good too. Angelika was very helpful in finding us a BBQ to use, which along with the garden firepit made for a good family evening.

I loved this house - felt like it has withstood many a storm and will last for many more. It had a very peaceful feel to it - lovely sized rooms which were comfortable and clean yet characterful. The location is fantastic - especially if you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all and to enjoy walks from your doorstep.
