This property met our needs perfectly.

I was impressed with the cleanliness! My wife is one who is loves to clean, so We felt right at home. Everything cups, plates, utensil's, floors, and linens in pristine condition. We both agree this is where we stay the next time we are in Mars Hill NC

We liked the quiet setting, complete with cows, butterflies, the sound of creek water, and yet only a few minutes from town, where there is a fabulous coffee shop on Main St. Inside, all is clean, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully supplied with necessities.

Love the location but we missed the cows this time.

Very well stocked maybe a grill would be nice but would stay again.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cottage! It is comfortable and has everything we needed to relax and enjoy our family time together. The property & area is quiet and a nice place to unwind. Convenient short drive to Mars Hill university. We felt right at home and would definitely love to come back again!

We were very graciousy welcomed by our hosts who also were kind enough to provde us with some goodies as well. This was our second stay at this charming cottage. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and only wished we could have sat on the covered porch while we were there. Would highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

We wish we had more time in our trip to enjoy this super cute cottage. The property was nice and cozy, clean and had personal touches like a welcome basket and usable items for ease of stay.

Everything was great! The host, Amber Englebrecht, did an outstanding job of preparing the home and staying in contact to ensure we had everything we needed.

The host was awesome and very attentive. The house is a very small farmhouse, but was stocked with everything that we needed during our stay. It was very cute.

This property was beautiful and charming. We had everything we needed for a great stay. We were in a quiet area, just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Plenty of things to do within driving distance. Just 30 minutes away from the Biltmore, and zipplining was 20 minutes away at Navitat. Property is well maintained and communication was excellent. The property managers went above and beyond.

Cute and clean. There was a nice welcome basket with a personalized card and beverages. Lots of windows and light, and very peaceful surroundings.

Very clean, great firepit and they even provided firewood which was unexpected. Host had accidentally given access to our booking to guests staying at their other property, but refunded 10% due to our delay in being able to unpack and get settled. Very apologetic and quickly remedied the problem.

I truly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. All our concerns were addressed promptly. Very comfortable.

Our host communicated extremely well with us especially considering she was on vacation herself. All our needs were met. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Only neighbors we saw were deer.

We absolutely love this house. I recommend it to anybody who wants to visit Mars Hill. It is so peaceful, and well appointed and very clean.

We had a very peaceful 4 day stay, quiet. The cottage is old but has been updated and is very comfortable, it has everything you need. It has settled so the floors are somewhat uneven so we were unable to close the bathroom door completely. The mini split ac kept the place very comfortable. Really enjoyed our coffee on the porch in the morning listening to the birds and seeing a few deer.

Check-in was super easy. Entire stay was better than expected. The house was clean, fresh and had a “comfy” welcoming. Kitchen was great. Sleeping was amazing. The surrounding property delightful, full of deer, bunnies, birds. Coffee on the porch watching hummingbirds was a treat. Wonderful experience.

My husband and I spend a lot of time traveling by motorcycle and have stayed in 50 vacation rentals. This is exactly the kind of place we look for when booking our trips; quiet, clean and comfortable. The house is nicely decorated with everything that we needed to relax at the end of the day. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to the birds and watching the fireflies. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Mars Hill.

This place was so cozy and perfect!! Absolutely everything you need, clean, quiet, super easy to get to, just exactly what we were looking for. 10/10 on the house. The owner was super communicative and so nice! I feel they would have been very accomodating to anything we made a serious demand about. They even gave us a lovely little handwritten welcome note and goodie basket!! A word of warning about the grounds though: we walked up to the firepit area you can see in some of the listing photos ONCE for about 5 minutes and we were finding ticks crawling all over us for the rest of the evening (thankfully none latched, but we definitely found at least 5 across the two of us). The grass was all mowed down so I guess we just didnt think we needed to spray up just to walk 20feet there and back. The listing states that you are free to explore the grounds, but I would definitely not do that unless youre thoroughly protected against ticks.Other than that (which genuinely was such a small part, probably common knowledge to most people, and out of the owner's control) this place is perfect for a tucked away little home base for your travels!

Property was secluded and quiet. Very peaceful, comfortable, and clean. Enjoyed our stay. The cottage is an older rustic building with numerous upgrades, expect just a few imperfections. All in all everything good.

This was a great place to stay! Very well maintained and cleaned. A little tricky to find if you arrive after dark, but not a huge challenge at all. Very cute surrounding town with small businesses.

I had a quick overnight and loved the property. Wish that I had more time to explore the property and cute town. The next day I went on to the Biltmore-which was very convenient Next time!

House was cute and comfy. Positively clean. The bed was super comfortable. Peaceful setting and quiet. Tub is deep and because the sides were very high, so if lifting your legs high this could be an issue.

It was one of the best properties we have stayed in. It was exactly as described, in a beautiful location. Well equipped, very clean and ideal for exploring Madison County and North West North Carolina. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Great cottage! Relatively secluded but in a “central” location to drive to either Asheville or hike in the Black Mountains. Cozy and very comfortable. Everything was great!
