Stayed Jul 19, 2025At the last minute, my wife was forced to address some issues at home. I, fortunately, did not pass on the opportunity to spend two weeks in this delightful cottage with beautiful Stonington water views. Everything about my visit and the cottage approached perfection. I was fortunate to meet the owners of the cottage, who are wonderful people, and made so many suggestions on dining, hiking, swimming, etc. I love the town of Stonington. It is quiet and simple and not overrun with tourists. My dinner one night at nearby Aragosta was off the charts great. I also enjoyed a night at the local Opera House during their annual jazz fest and was treated to a performance by Charleston, SC native, Quentin Baxter. I also live in Charleston and the venue and music were excellent. I highly recommend the East or West cottage for a single or couple and Stonington has become my absolute favorite spot in Maine. If I could rate my experience and the cottage 6 stars, I would.
