Everything was perfect with our stay. Clean and cozy and amazing view. We will be back.
The location
Location is really nice. You can enjoy view of pacific (with old big stump on the beach) from the balcony. But the home needs renovations. Sofa bed is very dirty and stinks. The kitchen also needs to add basic condiments like coffee, salt etc. Hot tub can be more clean. Overall, it was very relaxing gateway in a nice location.
Loved the beach view and privacy. The hot tub was great for the cooler evenings.
Everything about the state as clean and nice and easy, but the hot tub on the patio was not working—water was cold and no power. Totally understand that power surges happen and there’s only so much to be done on short notice, but as it was a selling point and the reason we picked it, it was very disappointing and we hope to be at least partially compensated. The fact that it was operated through a large company made problem solving almost impossible, as the only people reachable were a help line miles away and not people on the site.
Right on the beach.
This place was magical pretty much right on the beach just a little stroll down the stairs. Kitchen was great except there were no hot pads for getting stuff out of the oven? The toaster was ridiculously awesome. I bought one when I got home. As a night owl and with a husband that does Astrophotography the 10am checkout was harsh. Would really like to see that pushed till 11am or 12. Other then that simple ,updated decor, dog friendly awesomeness would recommend ❤️☀️
Ocean views fantastic, bring binoculars to get close ups of whales breaching! A nice quiet place with comfortable furnishings. Kitchen was amply stocked but you need to hand wash your dishes. The smart TV lost connection and was not able to reconnect it to network. Bring your own Roku or whatever you use which was able to connect to the WiFi. The beaches here were so vast and unpopulated and you can walk for very long distances in either direction. Don’t forget your kite as much fun to set it aloft! This was God’s blessing to have been able to stay here.
We were very disappointed in our trip with Vacasa. The one great thing it had going for it was the spectacular view. Although it had a spectacular view, there were no blinds on the widows, so, if it is a sunny day, you the sun shines diectly in the living room with no relief. We went to the beach for most of the day and came back around 5. From 5 to 8... nothing but sun in the room. Also, the sun shines on the stainless steel refrigerator and it will literally burn your hand...parents beware. Many other issues... My husband and I were there for 4 nights. On 3 of those 4 days it was rainy. So, when it wasn't raining too hard, we would spend time on the beach. The rest of the time was spent in the room. The wifi was spotty at best. You had to sit in certain areas in the house to maybe get it to work. Tried watching a movie, and it would constantly buffer or not work at all. Cell sevice was non existent- we had Verizon. There was no fire alarm in bedroom... pretty sure that's aganst code. The door handle is broken to the deck. VERY hard to open. The shower head is unique; I am not even sure it's a real shower head. Really! How much would it cost to put in a proper shower head. Lastly, the fire place was not working. It was listed in amenities; along with wifi, but I guess you have to read the fine print, as I tried to call and get a discount. Vacasa said it was listed that it was not working and therefore they were unwilling to give a discount or switch rooms. Why is it listed as an amenity then, which is one of the reasons I chose this particular room? Unit 9. The cleaning was done fairly well, but the mini slit and filter were discusting. The vent in the bathroom was also disgusting. Extra blankets would be nice too, as it sleeps 4 with a hide-a-bed in the couch. The gave on thin blanket. We will not be staying here again for the money... been to much better for cheaper. We stayed June 3rd - 7th 2022
This beach cottage is a simple but comfortable home base for an Oregon Coast trip. The views right off the deck are incredible and great for wildlife watching. My only complaint is the WiFi, I could never get connected for more than a minute or two.
