Stayed Jul 20, 2025The place is nestled in a quiet place on the island. You are about 10 minutes from the beaches. The owner stocked the place with the necessities you will need. There is a lot of history on the island and restaurants around. In fact their is a breakfast place down the road from the cabin, named Driftwood. Really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025This was our first trip to Daufuskie and we loved our stay! Jay was a wonderful host and quick to reply to all of our questions! Everything we needed was available for our stay. Only tip I have for guests has nothing to do with the home or the island, but with the Lowcountry Ferry we took from Hilton Head to Daufuskie and back. The passenger fee for the ferry is fair, but the cost to bring supplies (groceries, bikes, extra luggage) was very expensive - much much more than advertised by the ferry service. They weigh all luggage before loading it onto the ferry and charge by weight. Before our visit, Jay recommended several other ferry options. So, if you’re planning on bringing additional supplies you may be better off using one of the other ferry services recommended by Jay. We will choose a different ferry for our next stay. Thank you, Jay! We enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next trip back to Daufuskie!
