Absolutely perfect place to stay while enjoying Yosemite.

Amazing location. Amazing home. Amazing hosts. Pictures do not do this home justice. We went during the cold and place was still so warm and cozy. The hosts were amazing and greeted us when arrived. Answered any questions we had. Definitely will be staying here again when visiting Yosemite.

This is a perfect place to enjoy Yosemite away from the crowds. Every detail was thoughtfully attended to and neatly provided. The property is quiet and secluded, without being too far, with a gorgeous view. The huge jacuzzi tub and fireplace were perfect for recovering from all the hiking.

This cottage was perfect for us as a couple who wanted to be very comfortable while hiking at Yosemite. It is so tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a week's stay. We cooked our dinners there in the kitchen, enjoyed spectacular views and sunsets and even enjoyed a couple of hot baths in a large tub with jets. The host Jeff, was amazing, such a great communicator. Shortly after we arrived more than 8 inches of snow fell in about 24 hours and he cleared the steps, the road and driveway and even our car for us! We had a marvelous time there and hope to return one one fall season.

The cabin was wonderful and the view was beautiful! It was a great location inside the park. The hosts were great also!!

This spot was the perfect little solo getaway cabin for a long weekend in Yosemite. The cabin was clean, the view off the back deck beautiful, and the host communicative! I'm already plotting for when I can come back. I will note that there are a lot of stairs to get down to the cottage, so come prepared. Think of it as warm up for any of your hikes in the valley.

Beautiful cottage with an amazing view! You can't beat the location for visiting Yosemite. Jeff is a wonderful host and the cottage is well appointed, luxurious and very comfortable. We highly recommend it! Do take note that the listing mentions stairs down to the cottage. There are quite a few and not suitable for anyone with mobility or health issues.

Had an excellent stay. The view is stunning, the bed is comfortable. Our host was very responsive when we had questions even on Thanksgiving day (thank you!). Its good to note theres a large amount of steps to get down to the property so be prepared to tackle that obstacle- but once inside its really nice!

Everything was great. The cabin in exceptional! I wish we could have stayed longer.

I gave 3 stars on the property description because there are 4 flights of stairs down to the front door and up to your vehicle. This needs to be called out better, 100% NOT ADA. We stayed for several days so we had a lot of supplies, camera gear, etc. The property owner lives next door to the unit, and he was kind of DGAF about it.It's a stunning property, extremely clean with stunning views. Just know before you go, be mindful of weight so you can carry your stuff down safely.

We loved our stay at Jeff and Melissa's much loved hideaway in Yosemite. The views are amazing, the nights are peaceful and the sunrises are stunning. The accommodation is very comfortable, well equipped and well maintained.The location is perfect being inside the park yet away from the crouds in the valley. Communication from Jeff was great, and the directions provided made it easy for find the accommodation. We wished we had booked for longer and would not hesitate to stay here again on a return visit to Yosemite.

We loved this property, it was spacious yet cozy, with a nice amount of privacy and great views out the balcony. Very nice construction and attention to detail inside. If you're driving a low clearance sports car, be forewarned the parking spot has a drainage dip at the street which can be challenging to navigate without scraping the car's nose. I recommend ignoring the (helpful for other cars) directions (a shortcut) the property owners will send you, and stick to the longer route your nav system will take you. It adds around 3/4 a mile if I recall, but allows you to approach the driveway from an uphill angle and was much easier for handling that dip. Also, if you reach out to the property owners ahead of time they can place some pieces of wood in the dip to help out (though the uphill approach angle alone is probably sufficient to handle the dip, it wasn't that severe)! With the altered route and the wood added, it was very easy to get the car in and out of the very nice/wide parking spot and would not deter me from visiting this property again. Location was great, and note that the store in Yosemite Valley is very well stocked with groceries.

The cottage is in a wonderful location at the Park’s western boundary. The view is amazing, the cottage is very well stocked and comfortable. The hosts communicate very well, which made check-in a breeze. Don’t hesitate to book it, you’ll be glad you did!

We had a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful and in beautiful surroundings. Jeff was helpful with assisting us with a couple things while we stayed. The house had everything we needed for our trip and we felt right at home!

Amazing location inside the park! Super clean and comfortable. Perfect for a couple. Kitchen is fully equipped which is great, because there really aren't any good dining choices within the park.

A beautiful hideaway in West Yosemite community. The cabin was spotless and well appointed; we found the bed extremely comfortable, and loved the jacuzzi bath - especially after a hard day's hike. Melissa and Jeff were excellent at communicating and very helpful - we had the pleasure of meeting Jeff and he was super friendly. The cabin is approx 35-40 drive from all the major trailheads in the valley and Glacier Point - very convenient, but tucked away from the crowds in absolute serenity. We would love to return!

The house was perfect for our 25th Anniversary trip! Loved staying in the park, and it is in a great location. It had everything we needed and the rear deck offered great sunset views. There are quite a few stairs to get your bags down, but if you're planning on exploring any Yosemite trails this is just a warm up. Would stay again!

Everything about this property is absolutely perfect! The views from the back patio are incredible and make you almost not want to leave the house.

Loved this perfect base camp for our Yosemite adventure. Hosts were very helpful and we never had to leave the park! So quiet, peaceful and what a view! It had everything we needed and more. Definitely book this one it will make your trip perfect!

We loved our stay at the cottage from June 24 - June 26th! The location was beautiful and very convenient to Yosemite. We loved having a peaceful escape at the end of a day of hiking and the views from the balcony are incredible! The cottage was cozy and had everything we would want for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We will definitely recommend to friends and book again on our next trip to Yosemite!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our trip to Yosemite. This one-bedroom cabin was absolutely perfect — clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. From the full kitchen and outdoor grill to the washer and dryer, living room, and private balcony, every detail made our stay easy and enjoyable.The heated bathroom floors and propane fire place were a surprisingly luxurious touch — perfect after a long day of hiking. The cabin had strong Wi-Fi, which was great for planning each day’s adventures (or just relaxing in the evening), and the view overlooking Yosemite Valley was truly breathtaking.It was also just a short 25-minute drive into Yosemite Village, making it super convenient without being in the middle of the crowds. Communication with the host was smooth and easy — they were responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-equipped place to stay with all the comforts of home and close proximity to the park, this is it. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

The mountain hideaway was a beautiful cottage for two. We were very comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed. I also appreciated how everything looked new and not second hand such as towels and silverware. The location was great. It is easy to get to any place in the park from. Just be aware there are more stairs to get to the cottage than pictured. I highly recommended staying here!

If budget allows, stay inside Yosemite to avoid daily entrance line like this property which is extremely well maintained and clean. Because it shares no walls/ceiling, no noise from others. A/C works but even better are the back deck w/grill, fully stocked kitchen and windows that open easily. Very comfortable bed and furniture. Jeff opened the gas tank on grill for me. He also shipped my wife's rings to us when she left them on the counter by mistake. I liked staying close to but not in Yosemite Valley which is crowded. Easy to get to all the sights from property. Great 3 night stay.

The cabin is very cozy and very well equipped. Communication with the owners since booking thru check-out was quick and informative. Because of our age, the stairs (ascent) were challenging only during our pack-up. We had no problem, we just paced ourselves. The last road up to the cabin was an adventure. We just prayed we would not encounter another car and we didn’t. It was the only aspect we said we wouldn’t miss! I would highly recommend this cabin.

The absolute PERFECT place to stay for your trip to Yosemite! 30 minutes from Yosemite Valley, 30 minutes from Glacier Point, and 30 minutes from Mariposa Grove; Everything you want to see without the crowds, Yosemite West is more than ideal! The cabin was wonderful! The host is so sweet too! The view is incredible from every window and the soaking tub was a life saver! We will definitely be back!

We visited Yosemite for 4 days and this cabin was the perfect home base. The property is in a great central location with essentially equal driving distances to all of the park highlights including the valley, Glacier Point, and the Mariposa area. It was well appointed with everything we needed: fully stocked kitchen equipment, extra blankets, towels, even little touches like umbrellas, binoculars, lanterns, etc. We especially enjoyed the deck to watch the sunset and animals that appear around dusk like quails and deer. We would stay again on a future Yosemite trip!

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Short drive to Yosemite Valley. We will be back!

During our trip to Yosemite, we had a wonderful stay and the host, Jeff, was very nice. This place has very nice views and has everything you need.

Can’t say enough good things about this home and how beautiful it is to see. The winter visit was far better than we could have imagined with fresh snow and perfect temps. One note, if you don’t like stairs then maybe find another place as you have several stairs to the home, but we had no issue and the view far outweighed the work! There are a few minor things but nothing worth talking about here,as the home, view, and owners were incredible to work with for our stay. If going in

The property was as described and wonderful. The care and attention paid to COVID conscious guests was refreshing and greatly appreciated. The cabin was beautiful and so comfortable we didn’t want to leave to go down to the Yosemite valley. We’re already looking forward to going back!

The cabin is wonderful. Very clean and the views are spectacular. You're only about a 25-minute drive from the valley inside the gates of the park. It has a lovely patio with an incredible view. The neighbors are all far enough away that you have your privacy.0

Perfect

This is a wonderful cabin with top notch amenities and an incredible view. The owners were accommodating and very communicative. We knew we were visiting at a time when weather can be unpredictable, and impending snow storm cut our trip short by one night. But we hope to return and this is where we intend to stay. My only issue is that it is difficult to find and requires that you access the home via a fire road. We found it, so all was good.

Loved the are! The stairs infront of the VRBO weren’t expected but that’s what you have to deal with to get to a beautiful property.

Hideaway was the best place we could have asked for. Beautiful views, clean and cozy inside, quick communication with owners (goes a long way). We loved using the fireplace which kicks off a ton of heat, enjoying the outdoor deck, bathtub, etc. Everything was perfectly described and looks just as the photos show. There are about ~40 steps down to the place, was not an issue for us. Would definitely book again. 10/10.

This is our second time we have stayed and Melissa & Jeff’s Yosemite Mountain Hideaway and it’s just perfect. Located inside the park the location is outstanding. The property is well maintained and has all the creature comforts one could need. The cabin is beautiful inside and out, this is our favorite place to stay when visiting Yosemite. It’s the perfect couples retreat for a romantic getaway. We enjoy the generous sized bathroom with the oversized jet tub, the beautiful well stocked kitchen and the perfect sized living area with the best fireplace. The deck is also a favorite, enjoying the bbq grill, having a juicy steak and a glass of wine after a day of hiking is simply the best way to end a fun filled day at Yosemite.

This was our first trip to Yosemite, A friend had stayed at this cottage a few times and recommended it to us. Melissa was very responsive to our needs. We loved sitting on the porch each night and star gazing and listening to crickets. We saw deer on site and a bear in the neighborhood. It was just me and my husband and we were very comfortable and enjoyed the space. It's a 15 minute drive to get through the Yos. Valley Tunnel, making it an ideal location!!

One of the few places you can stay IN the park. As long as it takes to drive everywhere, we were so glad we stayed IN the park. This mountain home was so peaceful. Every morning we had coffee and breakfast on the back deck. And every night we made dinner on the grill and enjoyed the peace and quiet with a glass of wine. The host was very understanding and accommodating as well. Yosemite is beautiful and we were so happy we chose this place!

Cabin was clean and pictures are accurate. The communication with the owners is superb! I loved staying in the park and the location was great. It is a quiet community, which was what we wanted. We saw a bear off the back patio- one of many highlights of this trip! We loved Yosemite and would highly recommend staying here. The steps to the parking place weren’t bad, but could be an issue for some. We went to Glacier Point to watch the stars- I highly recommend doing this and the cabin isn’t too far from that. Sunsets are great from the cabin or off Glacier Point road pull offs. Loved this cabin!

Excellent place to stay in Yosemite! The house was immaculate and offered every amenity one could want. The host communicated efficiently and was extremely kind. We will definitely stay there again!

The house was exactly as listed and worked out perfect for us. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was always quick to respond . The view from the back patio was fabulous. We appreciated staying in the park and not having to wait in line to enter in the morning. Would definetly recommend and stay here again!

Enjoyed the view!! Driveway was SUPER hard to find, and there’s ALOT of stairs going down to the property. Also listed there was a hot tub, there is not. There’s a Jacuzzi tub, but it takes too long to fill up &the jets were very dirty. Lots of cob webs &giant spiders. Also listed a washer &drier, those aren’t there either. Overall, the stay was fine, view was absolutely beautiful &the location of the actual property is good. Saw some deer outside while having coffee the balcony.
