Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the beautiful Crooked Lake cabin for a little getaway from our hectic life. We absolutely loved the view of the lake and the cabin! We made many meals during our stay and had adequate cookware. The cabin was everything we expected! I especially loved the row boat! We look forward to staying here again in the future!
We enjoyed ourselves our stay! It was as central to places we wanted to see in Manistique and Munising. Thank you so much!
The home was a bit on the smaller side for our family but we enjoyed the deck, Lake, and sightseeing. There are no dressers or closets to put clothes or stash belongings so we felt a little cramped. My oldest did not feel safe sleeping on the top bunk (no railing) so they both slept on the pull out couch. We made it work for the few days we were there. It was centrally located for the places we visited.
Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Water in basement tried to contact property owners after arrival 3 times. No response. Cigarette butts and beer cans outside. Floor on upper level very unstable. Should have someone replace floor joists. Wasnt informed that the water might be bad until after payment was made. The water smells awful...like rotten egg. The screens had a bunch of holes in so it was very warm inside because bugs would come in if opened said windows. Fridge might need replacing soon as it didn't cool when we got there. The pictures online are very deceiving. My family and I still enjoyed our trip and made the best out of the situation. Also might want to put up blinds or curtains on upper patio doors.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was very clean when we arrived. It is located on a wonderful spot on the edge of the Hiawatha National Forest. A very quiet spot meant to be enjoyed. The only issue we had is the mattress on the bed is bad and as an older couple we were not able to sleep together as I would roll to the middle. I spent my three nights on the lower bunk in the next room. Missed snuggles with my husband if 48 years. Otherwise, it was wonderful and a perfect distance from Munising where we enjoyed a cruise of Pictured Rock. I would recommend this property to those with strong backs!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Floors planks seemed to be separating. Some areas of the floor felt bouncy, like it wasn't sturdy - especially near the kitchen sink. Other than that, everything was good. I would stay here again.
The cottage was clean and it had everything we needed. The laces is beautiful. My children enjoyed it very much. If you’re like me and read all the reviews before renting. Please forget the bad reviews. This place is small but it has everything you need to have a great experience. Would I stay here again? YES! Highly recommended
Nice informal cabin on lake. Didn't receive pass code and directions to cabin two days in advance as expected. Furnace isn't work upon arrival but got fixed. Water tastes funny and smells like rotten eggs. Use bottled water. Slats under grandmother's bed fell out on second night. Property manager finally nailed them to the frame. Power went out for seven hours right after the bed was put back together. Could have noted that there would be no bath soap or shampoo in bathroom. Two dogs accompany you when outside. Would recommend not feeding them, unless you want their constant companionship. Cabin seemed sanitized but could include information on this in property information. Could also explain that the landline is useful only for calling the local numbers mentioned in the handbook. Trees around cabin are lovely as is the view of the lake.
Beds were very uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping in the car. Grill didn’t have propane, someone brought one later that day and it’s still didn’t work. We didn’t even eat. We checked out the very next day. Could not stay there another 2 days. Waste of time and money. Very very unhappy
My husband and two boys (5 and 3) had a great stay at Crooked Lake. The cabin is really nice and fit our family of four well. If you have a larger group, you would have to stay downstairs in the walkout basement. I'm guessing that would be pretty cold in the winter! The TV had a Roku stick and you can login to things like Netflix, Prime, Hulu if you have a subscription which was nice for our kids to wind down before bed. Another amenity not listed is a gas grill. We wish we would've known in advance and we would have brought things to grill. Overall, we loved our stay. The cabin is close to Waterfalls and Munising or if you never want to leave, the cabin is perfect to enjoy the lake and the views!
