The newly redecorated and refurbished mid-terrace coastal cottage welcomes you with a roomy, open-plan living area including a multi-fuel stove and sophisticated, laid-back Scandi-style sofas. It's been said that this is the perfect luxury retreat to come back to at the end of the day, especially after a bracing and beautiful coastal walk.

The fully-fitted kitchen and dining area are not unfamiliar with a feast on Christmas Day, so are more than capable of coping with the rustling up of a soothing supper. Knocking up some of the town's world-famous kippers for breakfast will provide the perfect sustenance for a day exploring the enchanting mix of fishing villages, market towns, wide-open beaches and magical castles.

This luxury coastal cottage has two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite, and a twin room with a family bathroom—white fluffy white towels are supplied. The beds are super comfy and dressed with Melin Tregwynt woollen blankets. The upper floors provide stunning views of the ragged silhouette of Dunstanburgh Castle.

Downstairs, a useful utility room and WC are located just off the kitchen - perfect for added convenience during your stay. French doors lead from the seating area to a rear deck with patio furniture, so no matter what time of day, you can sit with a refreshing drink as you plan your next adventure. Another set of French doors open out to the front of the cottage, where a perfectly positioned table and chairs allow you to take in the sea air and listen to the gulls. Don't be surprised if the enticing aroma of oak-smoked kippers wafts from the nearby L Robson & Sons. There's also handy off-road parking for two cars.

It's just a two-minute stroll to the harbour. In a world of overly manicured gastropubs, there's the wonderfully take-me-as-you-find-me Jolly Fisherman, a simple pub serving well-priced crab sandwiches that are perfect washed down with a pint of Black Sheep ale.

Our must have criteria was a comfortable cottage within walking distance of a local pub (Jolly Fisherman - recommended for a quick refresh and food), sea views and walks along the coast from our front door. A wood burn was a must as our side space was not a driver beyond off street parking due to the time of year we visited. Craster Reach met all our criteria and customer service was great. When we needed to reach out for support, it was timely and supportive- thank you Clair and Tara. We are already looking to return and are happy to recommend. One item to note, if you are tall, the top floor bedroom/ensuite needs a little time to adjust. Showers are powerful and a pleasure. The weather during our stay was a real mix and thankfully only one rainy day. Fresh frosty mornings, clear blue skies and crashing waves added to the morning leg stretch along the coastal paths.

Our second stay at Craster Reach. The house was very clean and has everything you could need. A perfect location to explore the area. A lovely New Year finished off with snow!

Great house. Fabulous views. Very comfortable and warm. Very well appointed. All you could need provided even down to dishwasher tablets, washing machine capsules and dog bowls. Clare from Catch the Breeze Retreats very helpful and always available. Great customer service. Situation is in the centre of the village near pub and great walks. Really recommend.

A fabulously well designed and equipped house in the centre of Craster. Stylishly furnished with comfortable beds. Plenty of space for up to 6 people with 3 large bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms with excellent showers and a downstairs cloakroom/utility room. Fantastic position in village with breathtaking views of castle and countryside. A couple of minutes walk to local pub The Jolly Fisherman where we would recommend booking as gets very busy at weekends. Thoroughly enjoyed our walk to the castle and beach beyond, Good parking at front property and to rear if you have a second car. Excellent dog walks nearby. We were sorry to leave and will stay longer hopefully next time,

We have had a thoroughly lovely holiday and we’re very impressed with the accommodation. It is very well kitted out and maintained, it felt like a real luxury stay with the beds being very comfortable and the best towels we have had in accommodation for years. We will be back

Lovely holiday home in great location with a good view of the harbour and village from the higher floors. Rooms were furnished to a nice modern standard. Only potential Issue is that there is no phone reception, but the house’s WIFI made up for this and coped easily with three teenagers and their devices!

Had an exceptional 4 day stay in Craster Reach. Cottage was absolutely perfect. Everything you could possibly need was provided. I loved the fact you had the morning sun at the front of the house and evening sun at the table at the back. The utility was perfect for the dog overnight and even a hose pipe to wash him down. Views were outstanding and pup within a stones throw! Thank you Catch the Breeze for a wonderful few days.

Craster Reach is uniquely positioned to enjoy stunning views of Dunstanburgh Castle and, in the opposite direction, the coastline towards Longhouton Beach. The house was perfectly comfortable for five adults (the beds were top-notch!) and we enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine on the pretty terrace. The kitchen was really well stocked for self-catering although we enjoyed a couple of good meals at The Jolly Fisherman. We had a wonderful week exploring all the beautiful places in Northumberland but were always happy to return to our cosy home in pretty Craster.
