Stayed Jun 22, 2021Cute, clean, quaint, two bedroom cabin across from Sebago lake. We enjoyed our 3 night stay…being from Florida the lake water was still a bit too cold for us. Beautiful area to visit! Thank you for your hospitality.

Stayed Oct 10, 2025Cozy cottage, responsive host. I would recommend this place and stay here again. I would like to add recommendations without sounding rude… fix locks on front door, it doesn’t seem like it closes tight enough and deadbolt doesn’t work. Bedroom with queen bed door doesn’t even latch, therefore can’t be locked. The other bedroom the lock is on the outside.

Stayed Sep 5, 2025Cozy and comfortable stay. The beds are in the former side (which our group found comfortable and preferable to soft mattresses). Backyard was good for our dog (free of foxtails at the time of our stay). Heating worked great and kept us cozy on the first night which was cooler than expected. Note that the bedroom next to the laundry room does run cooler than the rest of the house - it was not a problem for our group. Plenty of towels and loved the many towel hangers so we don’t get the towels confused!Good proximity to downtown Mendocino. Convenient by car. I would book and stay here again. The place was clean (definitely as clean as my house when we clean our house) but not impeccably clean (we found a few stray hairs on the couch). One thing that almost deterred me from booking is the high deposit (which cost more than the rental). The owners were honest and returned the deposit in full. It’s probably a VRBO policy but it felt egregious to charge (not just a credit hold) such a large sum of money from booking date until 14 days after the stay. This resulted in about 2 months of total that I did not have access to the deposit money.

Stayed Sep 2, 2025Host Frank & Bo were very kind and made sure we were happy with everything. Very clean & cozy, close to the beach where we took our daily walks. Bo even went to get ice cream at the store when she sent us to an ice cream place that was closed on the days we were there. So amazingly sweet.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025The place is clean but know it’s extremely small (you can’t shower w/o knocking your elbows into something) and you have NO privacy - nothing on the site reservation page tells you that you share the lawn area w/ 3 other houses and the series of units are located directly on a busy road with traffic all hours of the day/evening. Sorry, but being that close to neighbors (literally spitting distance apart) requires disclosure and pics on your site - showing a fire pit w/ the rest of the units out of sight is bordering on false advertising.

Stayed Jul 27, 2025We returned for the second time to this location. Frank and Bojana are very accommodating. We either called or texted if we needed something. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items you need. If you can’t find something, open a cabinet or drawer. We needed some help getting Netflix going and Frank and Bo were right on it. There is an outdoor grill for each unit that works and wood and a fire pit. Beer, wine and water in the refrigerator at check in. The water was nice for those hot lake days. We love that the private beach is across the street and a 3-5 minute walk. Just note that the location is set back but just off a main road. It does not bother us but if you have small active children, it may be something to think about. Great to relax again with Frank and Bo. We hope to come back again next year. Joel and Amy

Stayed Jun 20, 2025Our stay was great and the host was beyond wonderful. Sadly we had no power the first 8 hours of our stay but she brought us candles and buckets of water to help us though the night. We definitely wish it had been different so we could have enjoyed our day in the cottage. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever slept on!

Stayed Nov 17, 2024This is the third or fourth time we have stayed here. It is a perfect set up for our needs and is close by to the people we came to visit. Everything is stocked and all the utensils and appliances are in great shape. No issues. We'll be back

Stayed Aug 16, 2024Perfect for a weekend visit attending a wedding at the Autumn Estate just down the road. The place was clean and complete with routine amenities! They even left waters and some beverages in the fridge. It was small for 2 couples but we didn’t spend much time in the cottage anyway, so it got the job done!

Stayed Jul 27, 2024Walkable to beach and store. Fire pit was stocked with plenty of firewood. Property was decoratively lit at night. Cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cold beverages in the fridge were a welcome sight after a long drive. Glad to see recycle bins on site.

Stayed Jun 28, 2024We were in town for a wedding and are familiar with the area. This cottage was perfect. It's small, but clean, comfy beds, drinks in the fridge waiting for us (you don't see that alot) and a wonderful fire pit outside with plenty of wood for us to use. We were able to use the private beach (Nason's Beach) a 2 minute walk and could view the lake from our deck. A wonderful little general store right before the beach entrance with awesome baked goods and they serve breakfast, lunch and pizza at dinner. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Jul 8, 2024The cottage was great. Good location, well appointed. We stayed in Cottage 1. If you could trim a few branches, it would make a fabulous view of lake from the porch

Stayed Jun 30, 2024I was in Cottage 1 and it had everything I needed. The only thing I had to bring was food and beach towels. Nason's Beach was a 5 minute walk away and the general store nearby had a great selection. If you are an early bird you can catch some incredible sunrises from the beach. It was in a central location so if you traveled 30 to 45 minutes there were all kinds of restaurants, stores, and attractions. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!
