Stayed Dec 28, 2021Handsome Dan’s is a quiet, cosy and luxurious stay. We had a lovely winter getaway here. The steaming hot tub was bliss and the wood burning fire place kept us warm during a cold snap. We made great use of the fully equipped kitchen and slept well in the super comfortable beds. Dan and France are terrific hosts — they’ve thought of everything and we’re very responsive to any questions we had.

Stayed Jan 17, 2025The check in was super welcoming and they had a fire going in the fireplace for us on arrival. The place was very clean, and stocked with anything and everything we needed. It’s a beautiful property with gorgeous ocean views. Lots of natural light and surprisingly quiet given that it’s on the main road. I will definitely return.

Stayed Oct 29, 2024We love Sooke and Otterpoint. The House is amazing and had all the ammenities. I love to cook for my family where ever we go so appreciated the fully stocked kitchen tools and gas oven! The fireplace was an added luxury.

Stayed Dec 29, 2023A great cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay with a family. Getting in and out of the driveway with the car can be a bit challenging but otherwise a perfect stay. The house is well stocked and the hot tub was great. Clean and easy to check in

Stayed Nov 10, 2023What a special space. Gorgeous property, beautiful interior, great fire. Lights around the stairs were a magical touch :) Only issue was it was raining a lot and there’s no covered area to keep towels or other things dry on the hot tub deck… but we made do!

Stayed Aug 12, 2023As log cabins go, this one is ok, a bit tired in parts, 2 broken recliners in the lounge, work tops in kitchen need updating and we weren’t fans of the spiral staircase and the bedroom doors, but, overall it’s ok
